When are we going to stop getting soft dudes like Amare? I want someone who will play his ass off on defense, hard foul, block, rebound. Amare is a straight-up b!tch besides scoring.
Give me Pierre-Paul at PF. I'm down with JPP!
Lets be fair here, nobody was singing praises for the Giants when they were losing many games and barely staying at .500. They picked it up at the end, figured their system just in time to get this great run they are into now.
Guess who can be in the exact same position at the end of the season?
Yeah, the Knicks.
Lets be patient and they could also make New York and all its fans proud.
The Giants have already done his before. They won a Superbowl and they did it with defense and they're doing it with defense again.
I don't see any defense from the Knicks, especially from their "best" player. Your best player has to lead by example. Amare is a bad example.

As I say, the Giants ran a path to the playoffs and to the many great wins they've had recently but it was a bumpy ride where they were close to missing the big dance. But in the end, they figured it our with enough time to make this run.
The Knicks are also a team in a bumpy ride trying to find their identity. If you fail to acknowledge their improvements on defense, albeit inconsistent, that is your choice. But the signs are out there. In some games, we have played the best defense we've had since the Ewing-Spree-H2O days. We've had many letdowns and we still haven't been close to 100% healthy, but we are getting there.
Amar'e is a player with great talent and some deficiencies. He does struggle with defense and rebounding. That sucks. But if you have paid attention, you have also seen some games where he has played those areas well enough to get us a win. He has, whether you are down on him or not. I believe Amar'e is kind of a slacker and only when the whole team is playing as a unit and trying on defense, he does try. Again, that isn't exactly what you want from a max player, but if you get your team healthy and committed to defense, he does try and is successful.
I believe it will be a long season until Baron gets acclimated to the team and everybody is healthy. Its gonna happen soon enough. I just hope fans don't jump the bridge too early and miss all the fun that is coming soon.

Amare is not the guy you want representing your team. Not in New York.
I'm done making excuses for him. I was on his side but no longer.
He either goes out and proves it this season or we should trade him this summer. I don't have much else to say besides that.
Great win for my fellow peer friends whom are GIANTs fans
I rooted hard for GB to lose
The cocky sure of themselves coached-GB Packers said they wanted to "Test" the talked about
Giant Defense. Well packers failed test.
Shows Packers and Saints great teams and deserving of their prior superbowls
cant win on run & gun shoot em' up Football alone! Thank you SF 49ers..
Giants deserved it and are on a roll, besides being a real classy organization.
Great! for NY. Jints avoid going to N.O. & get the respected SF 49ers a tough foe.
GOOD LUCK GIANTs, great game
from a Steeler-fan
Hope Jints go all the way get SF & then Superbowl
Kudos to Eli, JPP, Tuck, coach Coughlin & all his team.

As opposed to the green idiots who share our stadium and let their mouths do the playing/losing and are at this moment trying to figure out if a dogleg means they should lay up or take a pee.

Don't overlook the fact he was given great field position, but he certainly is approaching that level. Let's see him beat Brady again. That would seal it.
For all of the lore of the Patriots and Brady, they just won their first playoff game in years. (the previous victory came right before they faced the Giants in the SuperBowl)
The Giants have a lot going for them right now.
* team is healthy and has weapons on both sides of the ball - the big 3 receivers are all accounted for; and our defense is seemingly healthy across the board
* The team is playing well, with a 4 game winning streak (and 5 out of 6).
* they're facing a team next weekend that they played close (but ultimately lost) - they're primed for revenge.
Eli has been every bit of top 5 this season.
With no running game to speak of it falls on him.
Team had a killer schedule in a very tough division.
He has good receivers and makes them better!
All hail Eli!
Beat Brady in Superbowl he is HOF if he stays healthy and piles on some stats.
Im not saying, just hoping like the rest of us!

Brady hasn't won anything since spygate. Things that make you go hmmmmm.
With that D, the Patriots wont be winning anything.
