Harrelson Bibby and on and on. TD played 18mins too long also

We definitely miss Billups outside shooting
i agree about that. if we just had a real PG here it would be a much different story.
it's crazy to think that we'd be complaining about the offense under a mike d'antoni team. the defense is playing much better this year and overall i think the rebounding has improved.
Defense has been good up until tonight when the game plan suddenly reverted back to switch on every play when others stated how beautiful it was to watch Shumpert fight over screens. Then we allow the worse offensive team in the league to score 91pts and kill us down the stretch after losing 5 straight games. That and Melo had a terrible game. PG is a huge problem but not the only one imo
Guns, no offense, but what stat are you looking at? The Suns have a low PPG this season, but their efficiency is typically in the top 15 for offense. A Nash-led Suns team is below average in offense?

I didn't see Bibby tonight, and on the whole, he's not been very good on the court except that one game in Sacramento.
Harrellson seems to have earned minutes with his play.

I agree but we lost the game on key possesions down the stretch where we were trading baskets as we were giving them easy baskets because of the constant switching. Whether it was Gortat, Hill, Brown or Nash they schooled the Knicks. 4th quarter points was equal 27 suns 27 Knicks. We need more stops but it is impossible when you have shumpert or fields guarding Gortat and Tyson guarding Nash & Brown. Just re-watch that 4th quarter

You should've seen TD he was terrible dribbling & passing the ball around the perimeter when he wasn't turning the ball over or bricking more 3's. Bibby at least takes care of the ball and looked effective for all of the 5mins he played
There was one bright spot for me in the entire game. When Chandler got called for the flagrant. I was like, we finally have someone to defend the paint and put some fear into people! Sadly, everything else has apparently gone to SHHIITT !!!!!
Guns, the switches drove me crazy as well, but the Suns didn't always score on those. It created mismatches and was frustrating to watch, but Robin Lopez isn't exactly an offensive threat and the switches actually end up working a few times.
I'm not saying that I like the switches and that I advocate doing them, but we did not lose this game on switches. We lost this on extremely poor shooting with our 2 stars combining for 12-44. Even excluding Amare/Melo, we missed a ton of wide open shots (Landry played a very smart game but missed some huge corner 3s that were wide open and came off Melo passes) and that is what killed us.
That switching crap reminds me of junior high when you are playing against a team that you know is going to stomp you !!!!

I love Billups, and think we should have kept him, but I don't remember any point last season when Anthony and Stat played well together. We had a losing record for the trade post season, so not too much has changed in that respect.

true but the team played much better and offensively there was some fluidty. combine that with chandler and i think it's a much different team.
this team is lacking two major things right now. a PG and shooting - especially from the guard position. those also just happen to be the two staples of mike d'antonis offense.
in baron we trust.

very true, and I am wondering if they did the switching kinda on purpose cause the ball would end up with a bad offensive play for PHO: Lopez or Gortat with the ball with little time left.
Anyway, I did also see something in the defense that I have never seen before and perhaps the Knicks are tweaking this in steps: After the switches, the Knicks would kinda rotate players around and leave the furthest guy in the corner open and let Shump (or the PG) run across court to find him. I've seen good defensive teams like San Antonio do this. The switching obviously has to happen less often, but the rotation of guys was what SHOULD be happening and I've never seen that before.
I hope the defense comes together. I just can't believe we lost to another bad team with the schedule getting ridiculously tougher in Feb

You know, I wouldn't be surprised to see a better record come Feb (regardless of the Baron factor). IDK what it is about New York, but even the Giants have a tendency to waste games against the weaker teams in the league and play above their heads for the elite.
Still looking for a game like the first Miami game post-Melo that I can look back at and be proud of these Knicks.
This team misses Shawne Williams. He is the glue.
If shooting is the issue, Novak and/or Harrelson should be playing at all times.
Trade Douglas and Fields for a real shooting 2.

This isn't football and we can't win by shutting out the other side. Our main issue this year is bad shooting and bad execution on offense. I think Martin made some good points about defense which has definitely been better. I think Woodson deserves props for this outcome. Our perimeter D still bothers me, and we don't seem to have the personnel for good perimeter defense. Shunpert can only do so much. Bobby and TD are pathetic. Teams are beating us from outside. Though Robin Lopez was allowed too many easy shots yesterday mainly when Tyson was out.

It's true, defense is no longer the Achilles heel of the Knicks. It's offense.
