D'Antoni is an idiot because he runs an offense dependent on three point shooting with some of the most dominant front court players in the league. Take off your rose-colored lenses, man. It's time for D'Antoni to go

This is the kind of ignorance I'm talking about!!! You're proving my point. The offense isn't dependent on 3's! Go read up on the offense 1st then come back to me! There's a reason that
His teams have been near the top of the league in offensive efficiency.

Someone mentioned why not play Lin cuz he can penetrate but that's not everything either. There's more to it than that. See how often TD messes up on his drives. It looks easy
But it's not! Billups admitted last year that it was the hardest thing he'd done trying to learn the offense. I doubt that Lin has it down either. No one knows this better than MDA.

As for poor D! When you struggle so much on offense it effects your D! Frustration sets in and you lose focus.

dude, call me ignorant again. i dare you. i've watched basketball for 25 years and played organized ball, as someone else said. i know sh!t when i see it. STFU and sit down, son. i'm talking basketball and you make it personal.

Please stop playing tough. If you make an ignorant comment then i'm justified in saying that it's ignorant. Further you haven't proved your point at all. All this post does is waste bandwidth. Just talk BB if you know so much. You wanna talk X's and O's or present some historical proof for your opinions then let's go. See I back up what I say with facts and details. I'm not just flying off the handle with "Fire D'Antoni" rants when that wouldn't solve anything. Either present some detailed explanations or just don't bother to converse with me.

So explain Dantoni's Suns and Knicks always being on top of 3 pt attempts and you typing that all these Knicks 3s are not by design?

3 for 20 from 3 tonight. and the knicks are 3rd in the league in 3pt attempts despite being 22nd in 3pt% and that's NOT COUNTING TONIGHT WHEN THEY WERE 3 for 20.

you're not making any points. all you're doing is calling people ignorant and defending a coach who has been horrible here. every year the roster is different and every year the team plays the same - takes too many threes, doesn't defend, etc. wanna know why? it's the coach, stupid.

LOL!! That is the most frustrating thing out of all this. The fans, the other team's announcers, the Women League of Voters, homeless bums on the street, etc. KNOW what is wrong with this team. Sadly, the only one in a position to fix it is obviously a clueless knucklehead!! Very, very aggravating
crzymdups @ 1/25/2012 10:05 PM
our idiot coach runs a playbook "so complicated" no one can learn the offense, but so easy to defend our team can barely score 80pts on a given night.

yep, that sounds like a great coach all right.

Yes they are. They're only saying what the cliche argument is about MDA's offense. The bad 3's are a result of bad possessions where they're left with taking bad shots. It's the lazy way out of a bad set. When they run the offense properly the 3 is the LAST option of any given set, but there are GOOD 3's. The thing is that NONE of the plays are designed for the 3 to be the primary shot taken. Over a 100 plays with multiple variations and all are designed to get a high % shot.

We just can't hit crap right now. There were a lot of shots that weren't bad but just didn't fall. TD had a wide open 3 towards the end of the 4th and bricked.

I'm offended that u need to insult our intelligence for our opinions. How is it that every roster we have underachieves. It's obvious he has had the talent. Look at all the Ex-Knicks succeeding and playing much better without him. Gallo, Crawford, Lee, Nate, Chandler, Zach..the list goes on. He's had enough talent to not see all these offensive and defensive lapses team after team.

If he needs a PG to succeed fine. Then you adjust til your PG gets healthy some how to play better. What's his excuse to not adjusting during the game to situations. Timeouts to stop flow? Changing your sub patterns according to games. I watch so many games of other teams and always see other coaches get their starters back in quicker if the subs are stinking it up. How can you go 6 minutes without scoring and not call one timeout? what does that have to do with not having a PG?

What do random double teams leaving good 3 point shooters open have to do with a PG?

This all can't be coincidence. It comes from no discipline from the head honcho aka THE COACH!!

only Iman out of that group is capable of penetrating but he cannot be the only person that can take it off the dribble.
That is why Lin's speed and quickness will help...

At this point TD needs a long vacation. Not ready for D league bad. At least Lin is hungry and focused. I don't know how he will play but that trip to the D-league combined with TD's poor play shows that he should get a chance. If players think they're safe no matter what they get can get complacent, sloppy, selfish.

Wow we are really hoping a D-League guy to come in and help this team will Basketball games? what a freaking joke.

Its a question of giving someone else a chance to take TDs place.

Dude, I wanted to believe in the great Offensive Genius Dantoni as much as any fan. But facts are facts, and the fact is we can't fire all our players and somebody has to be accountable for this disaster so sacrificing Dantoni is the next logical step. Whether or not the next guy could do any better?? Who knows, but it is really the only way to try to salvage this short season that is zipping by.

yep, that sounds like a great coach all right.

IGNORANCE! Where did the offense rank last year with a decent PG? Yes it was hard, but Felton did learn it. If he had another season here to actually MASTER it, who knows how good he could've been. Ask Nash if he thinks it's a great offense or not. He was screaming for them to bring it back when they went away from it.

I am sorry man, but no Coach is ever dealt their ideal Dream Team players they want. It is up to the coach to adjust and play into the team's strengths and improve the team's weaknesses. Dantoni gets a big F in this department.

Really? I think Nash did fine without MDA. Can you cite an article where Nash was screaming because he wanted MDA's or I should say his own offense back?

Our offense was a top one last year and thats a fact. I hate D'antoni but last years team fit him much better since we were a lot quicker and could shoot. Since the great ttrade we made we are so damn slow and predicatable with melo. I blame both d'antoni but the players as well. Hell in high school we didn't blame the coach when we didn't play up to part we looked at ourselves and made adjustments and played better nexy game. I mean they're NBA players for christ sake

Hopefully he will look more attractive to Orlando. Than we can build a good defensive team around a true max player. We can bring in Phil and run the triangle. Trade Melo for Deron Williams and Make the playoff's and hope to be in the finals in 2013 if we make the right moves.
