Hm, what is our lineup?

D'Antoni hasn't fianlised it yet, but I'm guessing it'll be:

C- Tyson
PF- Amar'e
SF- Garbage
SG- Fields
PG- Garbage

Bench players:

Garbage

I'd maybe move Fields to SF, and start Garbage at SG.

Post of the week.

Hahahahahaha, yea it was really good.

If I were MDA this would be my starters

PG-Lin
SG-Shumpert
SF-Fields
PF-Amare
C-Tyson

Then....RUN RUN RUN

so not looking forward to Walker starting and guarding Bron. I would go with JJ2 or the dream lineup that Earl & Bocker suggested

Wade is in, he will play. Acc to PTI

i miss last years team. we were very fast and now we are slow as shit. We might as well try something new since we dont have a chance at winning this game

With Carmelo out, Knicks will start Toney Douglas and Shumpert in backcourt, shift Landry Fields to SF. So Fields gets LeBron.

starting lineup consists of 3 guards who can't hit an outside shot.

on the bright side, there's one less guy who can't hit a three coming off the bench.

EXACTLY

Starting Toney Douglas is a recipe for bad shot selection

Does anyone else find the timing of this as rather interesting?

For example, Melo states I must do whatever to help my team while we are stuggling. He passes up numerous games against the bottom dwellers (aka, the best games for him to rest while still giving us a decent chance at a win, hypothetically of course).

All of the sudden, the day of the big game arrives, it is the New York Knicks versus the most despised team on the planet, the Miami Heat. Suddenly, Melo does a complete 180 and suddenly realizes that perhaps him playing injured is actually hurting the team.

Hmmmmmm . . . I find it strangly coincidental that Melo's revelations finally occurred right now. It can't help but make a person wonder if maybe Melo's ego told him to not risk getting a pants down, humiliating spanking on national tv, and against a team of his peers/buddies? I do not want to believe this, yet I wonder?

I wonder . . . Hmmmmmm . . .

I hope that is not what it is. I really thought that this would be the game that he and Amare would come out and play really well. This is a hard one not to be focused in on as opposed to some of the other 'lesser' teams.

Reaching here, Buddy. Melo has beaten Lebron more times than he has beaten him. I think the decision was beyond Melo, seemingly coming from the Med and Coaching staffs....

Pretty psyched to not be watching a stream tonight. I hope this is a good game. I think TWC maybe waiting until the late spring/summer when MSG has no content that anyone is interested in to negotiate with them.
EwOakStarksMase @ 1/27/2012 7:42 PM
For real huh?? None of that stream freezing up, links dropping dead, and fuzzy ass picture. Unfortunately, I am a displaced Knicks fan living in Arizona and that is how I always have watched Knick games that aren't televised. Since this season was supposed to be "the season," I almost ordered NBA League Pass. Thank God that I didn't because what a freaking humongous waste of money that would have been.

This Knicks team is built perfectly for pirated streams. The picture quality sucks so you can't see all the mistakes. The picture is so much smaller that it looks like the Knicks are actually running down the court. And of course, once things go South, some free porn is just a mouse click away.

KNICKSBIGCATS @ 1/27/2012 7:50 PM
Let's see if we play a zone against them
like many teams did with success early on.

For sure, they will try to run us right
out of the gym.

Betting wise, this looks like a classic trap game to me.
Knicks playing terrible, just coming of a BAD loss to the Cavs,
3rd game on a roadtrip, Melo out, no depth, no bench.....
all factors point to a Heat romp.
However, the Knicks will probably cover the spread (+11)
cause the public will be on the Heat bigtime $$$$$.

Game picker is the only fun around here nowadays.

MarburyAnd1Crossover @ 1/27/2012 7:55 PM
I am excited about this game.

Cant' create of the dribble, can't penetrate and can't run a offense. Tough I always hought Fields was more SF than guard.
