That's how you take advantage of a defense. MDA saw that they were overplaying the PnR, so he put in Novak to spread the floor and take the wide open 3. It puts pressure on the D to cover the entire floor. It's really simple Move the ball and move your body, hit the open man! The reason the shots are falling cuz the offense is in a flow rather than what we've been seeing with all the ISO ball. Still need a PG to get inside!

douglas and shumpert doing a much better job dictating the pace tonight, that's for sure. they aren't trying to push it too much and the half-court set has much more movement and fluidity. hopefully melo is taking notes.

Hopefully Melo is on a plane to NJ for D Will, MBrooks and picks.

When you face a team that could't defend the three if there lives depended on it, then you need to take them. And since we don't have th epersonnel to get the ball into th epaint there isn't a lot else we can do.

those 3's are like super wide open 3's

i would too..

i may be stupid but i'm not in a hurry to deal melo (obviously if the right deal came along you have to) but i really do think melo is trying to win and i don't think he's trying to be a ballhog/stopper. hopefully these games out give him a good view of how much easier the offense is when there's ball movement.

say whatever you want about d'antoni, but his offense works very well when you actually have guys who are willing to pass the ball, no matter who they are. i just really hope melo is watching this intently.

LOL who gave novak the green light? i think he just took 4 straight 3's
nixluva @ 1/27/2012 8:52 PM
Novak getting a little crazy I'll give him a pass since he's probably a little too hyped right now.

Oh, yeah.
Melo was just shown on TV passing a bong to the Balkster on the bench.

ya melo ignored george karl so i doubt he'll pay any attention to d'antoni. Why did we do this trade again?

Not having a PG to settle the team down just kills us. If TD could even just take over the offense and get guys settled down and set up for a good shot, but you never see him actually directing the offense. Shump neither, but I don't expect him to have all that together. We have to have someone who can be a floor leader out there!!!

It's NOT too late to admit your mistake, Dolan.

JCrusher @ 1/27/2012 8:55 PM
the problem is that when we start off good from 3 we rely on it all the time

If we had a semi decent PG running this, we would be up 10
