The Knicks have a lower Hollinger rating (#23) than the Raptors (20), Warriors (21), and Hornets (22). They're only 4.5 games better in the standings than the Pistons. Let's face it....we are a lottery team once again.
The Knicks could easily lose against the Pistons and I wouldn't be surprised if the Pistons had this game circled on their calendar. A winable game in Madison Square Garden, it would be a highlight of their season.
Too much pessimism. In the game picker I have the Knicks by >15. I think the team gels without Carmello. Also with 2 days rest they should be strong and rested.

hey, this is a class joint, we call them hookers.
Dance team/cheerleaders are hookers. Skanks have internet-available adverstised pricing. It's a valuable lesson in reality to compare actual skanks to the almost air-brushed perfection that is NBA-level eyecandy.
Why is the format so hard to follow for each new game thread?
I think we should start to boycott game threads that don't meet the minimum criteria.
Pistons...Distance? Somewhere, the rhyming god is turning over in his grave.
The rhyme god looks on this thread and there is a smile on his face.
You have to say the title like a rapper, you can't just read it.

With due respect, have you been watching the last 10 games?
Where's the scoring gonna come from?
Strong and rested? Too much optimism.
Our FG percentage is not going to change overnight.
The Knicks are a fractured group with an inept leader.
Refer to Murphy's Law....it will predict the outcome for this game.

Is Detroit a "must-win-or-all-bets-are-off" game?
I see the gamepicker percentages are creeping more in the win column. Hopefully this is a prediction and not just a hope
Melo is a Gametime decision. I have a feeling he will play
Can't wait for another stellar 7 for 25 FG, 4 assist,
6 rebound and 5 turnover performance from Melo.
People seems to forget that Melo played really well before his injury, well enough to get player of the month award.

He can create his own offense, run the pick-and-roll, play off the ball, etc. It's comparable to adding Harden to our offense.Better spacing opens the lanes and makes it easier for Douglas, Iman, Davis and Melo to get into the lane.
Did you really use Douglas and "lane" in the same sentence?
Douglass asked Shumpy: How does it feel in the lane? How does the lane smell? you think maybe one day if my brain heals, I could maybe visit the Lane?
Or
Douglass asks MDA after MDA says in pregame "Guys you have to get into the lane and kick out to Billy Walker for 3! Thats how we roll" - Douglass looks at MDA with a puzzled/befuddled stare and innocently asks? "What's a Lane"?

Word out is hotseat will get HOTTER if Mike D'Antoni loses at home tonight to these lower-than-lowly Pistons of Motor City.
Game will go down to the wire & last few minutes unfortunately
The Knicks easily win tonight!!!! We start our run today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Forgot to add since Toney-toni toni Douglas is Starting again in Knick lineup for the changed roster
Douglas will figure out some means to keep the Pistons in the game tonight vs Knicks.
Unfortunate..
Honestly if we can't beat a 4-17 detroit team who are on the second night of a back to back, then the knicks should withdraw from the nba.
I cannot stand to watch TD start again. he's been doing ok comin off the bench minus the insane turnovers. I think Lin will start since we don't know if Davis is a week or two away and we can't afford to lose every game while we await his return.

One can only wish.
I've got to believe Lin has been working with the starting lineup this past weekend. Because let's face it Saturday in Houston he was thrown out there not having ever played with Amare & chandler. And it took the game getting out of reach for MDA to remove Bibby and Douglas and out the ball in Lin's hands as the Knicks went on to cut the lead and Lin put up an impressive 9 & 6.
"Hi, I'm Mike Dantoni. According to basketball legend and resident hoops genius, Bill Walton, I am a coaching legend.
My job is on the line right now, so all my years of professional coaching acumen are pointing me to the fact that I'm going to start a 4th string PG tonight..."
Lin starts and
will be coaching in China by March.
