And so much for Lin's number going down with Melo coming back. Lin is still Lin.
Who is the D-Leaguer? I wonder? I wonder who are all those loud mouths out there calling Lin a D-League player. Lin is clowning everyone who talks down on him including that fucking ass named Stephen A. Smith.

From Stephen A. after the game.

How many time is Stephen A. Smith going to sit on a wait-and-see approach regarding Lin??? First it was with the Heat, then he went on a tear against Lin, now he's doing it again for 76ers.
Hope Lin drops another 18 pts/ 10 assists/4 rebounds/1 block/2 steal kind of game.

no one on this board called him a d-leaguer. ever.
I think this is true, but maybe because the topic was never addressed this way. It may have been implied by Anubis, however. He seems like a straight up guy and don't think he would back away now if he didn't think so. So I'd be curious to see what Anubis thinks re: whether Lin is a D-Leaguer caliber player.
The D-League comment was from an article where scouts after the game in Indiana said Lin was still a D-League talent.
Will Leitch is the man
Oh, and hey, who's up for some more Linsanity?
Okay, so maybe the mere mention of the term brings a weary sigh by this point, but it has to be noted that Lin is playing as well as he has all season. He was terrific last night — after yet another facial contusion; is it a league requirement that he be punched in the head once a game? — and even drained a couple of three-pointers. It was a platonically balanced rotation last night, with six players in double figures. Lin was one of them, with 17, and also had 10 assists. Baron Davis may or may not return tonight, but Lin appears to have raised his game. Again. Also, Amar'e Stoudemire is beginning to look like he has rediscovered the ability to move, drive, and/or dunk. That will come in handy.
Somebody get Lin a cut man.

I still don't understand why Lin does not get a lot of calls. Paying your dues is one thing but I think the amount of hits he has taken should be sufficient payment and he should start getting calls.
Lin played one heckuva good game yesterday--he was flying around on defense and played a very efficient calm cool collected offensive game all the while spilling a good amount of blood that would send most people out of a game. This guy is real good.

His smashed nose yesterday wasn't really a foul. Face was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, to your point, he often gets bitch slapped upside the head with no call. On the flip side, he often gets calls when he seems to trip over his own feet! LOL!

The New York Post Was Dead Wrong About Woodson Burying Jeremy

And that's a pretty nice summary of where we are right now. Woodson, lo and behold, hasn't really directed the action away from Lin. He's getting Lin the ball in some different settings — most notably in catch-and-shoot situations from baseline inbound plays — but still running plenty of pick-and-roll and encouraging Lin to create in transition. It's only been four games — two of which were so lopsided that Lin and the rest of the starters played reserve-level minutes — but Lin has looked sharp as ever. Better, even. He's relying less on pull-up outside shots, reducing his turnovers, and participating in the team-wide surge of defensive effort. His numbers, meanwhile, still compare to those of of top-flight young point guards.
So, "Linsanity" may have duly perished, but Jeremy Lin appears to be alive and well. Instead of Lin being a D'Antoni-ball product and Woodson being a fun-squashing, point guard-stopper, it's looked so far like Lin is a pretty good basketball player and Woodson a pretty good coach. They're making each other look good, the Knicks are playing great basketball, and nobody particularly cares. It's kind of wonderful, really.
The fact that Woodson is slowing things down just a tad makes Iman Shumpert a better fit at lead guard. Until the earthly remains of Mike Bibby can make a jump shot, look for Shumpert and JR Smith in the backcourt, with Novak, Jeffries and a player to be named later with Mobb Deep.
Somebody get Jeremy Lin a cut man.
Dude is simply too clutch for words
Woodson's pace is perfect for Jeremy Lin.
Lin was perfect (10/10) from the free throw line.

Linsanity Is Dead
"Special shout-out to one of Lin's best outlet lobs of the year. He tossed a perfect arcing pass that just cleared the defender's fingertips and hit Melo in stride for an easy dunk." - Seth Rosenthal
