Yo son! I told you, the good people of ultimateknicks, that Lin would average at least 8 dimes over this season. But now, I will tell you he will drop 9.4, at least!
Check it out: Nash dropped 16/12 his first season in Phoenix!

He can put the ball on he floor and had decent court vision. His past issue on offense was trust. With Shump hitting big shots and Fields having regained his groove, trust is shared.
The 5-0 Knicks embraced defensive effort with pride. They constantly made adjustments and covered for each other. Best defensive stretch of the past few years.
Forget the ball-handling. Once Jeremy Lin demonstrated could be a decent man-to-man defender against Deron Williams, the mood changed. Field's used his 6'7 height and lateral speed to guard the perimeter. Jared did his Jared thing and the Captain anchored the middle. Shumpert's all star calibre defense was a perfect compliment off the bench.
Forget who gets the shots. Fugeddabout the box score. Offense is second nature to our leading men at the bank. First, Amar'e and Carmelo's minutes should be monitored for what they bring on the defensive end. Amar'e and Carmelo will need to match the defensive intensity of The Replacements, grab a few extra rebounds and box out, to gain the respect of the MSG mob. If the depth and defensive demands reduce their minutes, that's cool too. Jared and Stevie Wonder are waiting at the scorers table.
Just win baby
how is he not a super star, if

how is he not a super star, every one in the league thnks so..
Yo but, what chew sayin', 1248??
The only superstar is Kobe.
knicks1248 - the mere fact that your only take away from the above post is to question an arbitrary label, is baffling.
What does a superstar do?
Everything: Defend. Lead. Rebound. Command. Direct. Assist. Demand. Score. Win.

Your point is what exactly?
why are you so concerned about perceptions of Melo? he's going to fit in just fine. he was just relieved of some duties that he was really fit to handle. the emergence of Lin is a win for Melo as a player. might be a loss for Melo as a "star." but the only people that should be concerned about Melo's star level are his agents and marketers. even Melo should be more concerned about winning than anything else. i hope he's not thinking like you are.
Point well taken.
But isn't Melo worth more to his agents and marketers as an integral part of a winning team?
Look at Eli Manning. The guy is getting a ton of exposure now not because of his stats, but because of his rings. If Eli had the same exact numbers but no rings, he would not be nearly as popular, not even a question. If the Knicks win a title with Melo, chances are Melo will have played a very big part, and he will get more endorsement deals and exposure than he gets right now.
Melo has his max contract already. I just do not see any reason why he or his handlers do not want him to just win, even if it means he scores a bit less.

There is no way Lin continues at this pace...Melo is beginning to be the new Marbury in Knickland...He will be blamed for everything wrong with the Knicks...He was blamed for Field's lack of production...He was blamed and continue to be blamed for Denver's success and will no doubt will be blamed when we notice Lin's human like numbers again...No one noticed Lin was 1-12 from the field in the second half of the Minny game...Back pages in NY credited Lin with the win...Can't wait...
Amazing, it's now Lin versus Melo. Team be damned.
And it sounds like you were a Marbury fan. Delightful.

Sure it is, Parker dropped 32 on him last night and a few nights back Rondo almost post 20s across the board..Melo help defense is horrible..

Yup Melo's Defense is the cause for Lin repeatedly getting torched by Parker, Neal, Beaubois, Kidd, Rondo, and the entire cast of Sesame Street.

Parker dropped 32 on mostly Shump.

not everybody is saying its melo fault he was just stating that shumpert was guarding parker most of the game. no need to come to melo's defense all the time lol

Don't you know, Melo should've switched onto Parker to prevent him from scoring 32

Parker getting 32 was one problem. Melo forcing ISO play and not delivering is Melo's fault.
melo just doesnt fit its not his fault to be honest its just that melo wants a slow methodical offense and we are much better when we are running and melo either doesn't want to or doesnt have the quickness for the up tempo offense
Melo's had a nightmare season. All of these comments like "It's all Melo's fault" are bizarre attempts by Melo supporters to turn the conversation into a black and white, all-or-nothing mode. I was never a fan of his but I definitely didn't see this coming. It's been a shocking season from him.

+1
ironically Lin and the rest of the knicks were playing like it was the Pre-Lin era. why? because it was the Carmelo Anthony show last night. it's a precarious situation for Lin because he has to defer to Melo because he's the "Superstar" and it's "his team".
TRADE MELO. HE'S A LOSER.
