"He's Rudy. That's our Rudy, man," Anthony said of Lin, 23. "People love an underdog."
There's been a lot of comparisons on Lin. And if there's one that I hate is the Rudy comparison. Rudy was a scrub that was given a one time pity opportunity to play in the game while the team was ahead. and he never played again.
bad comparison Melo bad comparison

Who cares what athletes people compare him to. He's Jeremy Lin and isn't that good enough of a story?.... if it continues.
I love all this Lin ttention... everyone has a take. Been a long, long time where the Knicks got all the national attention for something positive on the basketball court
As far as the knicknames go, I really enjoy "Dr. Lin, Medicine Man"
I love the movie, but it is hideously inaccurate.
A player who is able to compete in the NBA after playing at Harvard, has to be tremendously talented to make the enormous jump in talent required to play in the NBA. Bradley and Lin are the only names I can think of that made that jump (But there must be more.)
jeremy lin actually has talent. The main reasosn golden state waived him was because they already had the two guards and they wnated to make room for a FA. The Rockets GM did the same thing and deeply regrets it.
Carmelo probably does not know the story of Rudy.

Oh you are so full of crap. Your five foot nothin', a hundred and nothin' and hardly have a spec of athletic ability and you hung in with the best college football team in the land for two years, and you were also going to walk out of here with a degree from the University of Norte Dame in this life time you don't have to prove nothing to nobody except yourself and after what you gone through if you haven't done that by now, it aint gonna never happen, now go on back.
she cute. is that emma watson?

I bet Carmelo never even saw the movie. He's probably referring how Rudy Giuliani stepped up in the 9/11 crisis.

That a better comparison
It's only a bad comparison for people that haven't gone on to rent "Rudy 2". Otherwise you'd know Rudy goes on to be named to the NFL Pro Bowl and win a Superbowl with the 2011 NY Giants. He's now known as Jason Pierre-Paul.
The
Human Factor
"The only positive for us during that whole week was we were watching the basketball games and we were watching Linsanity," Stoudemire said.
"My family was getting a kick out of it. That's the only smiles they really had all week. It was great to see that. It's been a tough week."

im very excited for amare to come back i think he cant wait to get to play with lin. we saw a little in the nets game but he is the guy i cant wait to have back
Great sincere words from Amar'e. Im sure coming back and playing with Lin will help him take his mind into basketball and, at least for a short time, take it off the tragedy.
Let's hate Melo for an off-hand comment. We can add it to the list of things to hate him for.
People who think Melo is threatened or is nervous by this guys success are idiots who have never played team sports. This comment is Melo being happy for his teammate, end of story

yeah, i undrestand peoples concern, but wade and bron were ball hogs as well, and play the same position for the most part.. Melo is a top 5 player in this league, your not winning in the playoffs without him..

Forget national, it's international. My parents just got home from a month in Asia and they heard about what was going on with Jeremy Lin and the Knicks in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines. It's crazy.
This is not a rudy story. rudy was a guy who wasn't talented. he made one play in garbage time. lin has broken a record for points in his first 4 starts since the nba/aba merger and he may continue
