Hindsight doesn't need corrective lenses
Many of the Players said they saw Lin's talent in practice. It's not hard for the players to notice a good player when they see him playing everyday. This idea that somehow Lin just jumped in with no preparation is a lie. Why did Lin thank Kenny Atkinson and why did they have Lin spend 6 days in the D League and practice on game days to try and speed up his development and comfort with the system? The 6 day D League stint was like a mini camp for Lin. He said that it made a huge difference and he felt comfortable for the 1st time after that.
Did Melo say when he will be playing?

No specific date, just said when he's 100%.
BigRedDog wrote:Did Melo say when he will be playing?
Was asked if he'd be on the court within the week. "Absolutely."
BigRedDog wrote:Did Melo say when he will be playing?
He said when he is 100%...he will definitely be back by next week but not sure about friday..
Francessa now knocking Lin's FT% at 71%.
We talkin' bout Free Throws COM'N MAN!
Lin is just in a funk at the line I'm sure he is better than 71%

I'm more concerned about Lin's turnovers...6 per game isn't a good number...

He'll cut it down to around 3.5 per game as he continues to play.
most of the turnovers happen when the defense forces him left. Something he will surely be working on in practice and the offseason
Yeah, I'm sure he will..This will be huge for the playoffs..he needs to get that under control..

That's definitely not an easy skill to develop. If Lin is going to be the PG on an elite team, I think there needs to be at least one more strong ball-handler on the court with him.

The pressure won't change...
Uggh Time Warner blames MSG, MSG blames Time Warner. All I want is to watch the Knicks on my damn TV!!!
Thats why him and Shump work so well together in the backcourt. Shump gives Lin a break from bring the ball up the court. If Lin had Shumps handle he'd be even better.
As far as TWC vs MSG I think TWC is mostly at fault because MSG can't give them a discounted rate when all the other cable/SAT providers are paying MSG top dollar. It would not be fair to them.
Unless MSG is trying to screw over TWC by not revealing the official numbers. Which seems to be the case. Supposedly all the providers pay a different price and that info is not made public

Remember when Cablevision refused to put the YES Network on their cable systems because they refused to pay them their price? Cablevision constantly pulls that crap. So I find it extremely difficult to find sympathy for MSG's parent company when another cable system does the same thing to them. Cablevision (MSG) are a bunch of greedy hypocrites.
yes I do remember Cablevision not giving in to the demands of YES which I'm sure were fair. Like Cablevision and Dolan have ever been strapped for cash. Maybe TWC is not doing as well. What they fail to realize is the xtra amount of money both parties will make especially now in the midst of Linmania

It's sad that the only time we can see him play is on national games, ESPN highlites, or YouTube videos (I guess you can throw in streaming too) - I just want to watch the games on my TV.

Don't understand why Francesa is still on the air. The only thing he talks about is baseball.

MSG could give them a discounted rate. If neither side can disclose what is being paid no other provider would find out anyway. It's complete business $$$ BS. Hell I'll pay an extra $5 a month for MSG.

It can get touchy if he brings up false accusations of Melo that he has read learned from the rest of the uninformed media.
Francessa is the best at what he does tho. ESPN Radio are amateurs.
Time Warner(4:00pm) vs Cablevision(5:30pm)
Not sure I agree with this. I think Mike Fran is a good interviewer but a lot of people on ESPN are very good too. I used to like Collin Cowherd, but not so much anymore. He sounds like he knows almost nothing about sports at times.
I'm not saying he can't do a good interview, just that he's useless when it comes to basketball. His questions might as well come from Mike from Manhassett instead of a person who's supposed to be a little more knowledgable than the average fan.
Last year, after the trade, he said that the Knicks should then trade for Hasheem Thabeet.
