Knicks · Look, this won't work. No way, no how. It's about the feeling it gives off. (page 6)

Very bad feeling right now. That's 2/3 we lost since The Return.

Whatever you want to call it, my friend.

Fact: our style has changed BIG TIME since The Return.

The Wave of Good Feeling was CRUSHED after The Return.

You know how you judge it? How does a guy react when things start shaking a little bit, how does a student react when he gets a bad grade on exam? Melo reverts to ISO, the bad student will get angry at the bad grade instead of studying harder.

Your are a prime example of a Manic Depressive poster if I ever saw one. When we win, Lin is funky-freshes PG in the league and is on his way to Canton and this team is headed to the finals. If we lose 1, we suck and its all Melo's fault. No mention of our pg having his worst game of this great run. Lin will be fine, I'm sure, but he ran into a buzzsaw tonite.

Lin was worse than Douglas in the first half.

And your point? Should we send him back to the D League so he can figure out the trap????

Why can't Lin have a bad game without us jumping on him for it. It happens to everyone and this is the HEAT!!

Haha - I have vented too at times but Lin? He should be untouchable at this point. He made us relevant - he saved us from hell.

He was bound to have a bad game at some point. He's a smart kid and will learn from this one no doubt. Just going to hate all the BS about the Heat curing Linsanity and all that BS. I'm still all in for Lin.

Jesus, did I say trade him? Bench him?

Melo gets crucified for bad shooting nights and Lin can't get any criticism.

Melo does get unfairly crucified but he is a Max guy who we traded the world for.

Tough comparison.

Lin is the Mesiah.

It seemed like they kept trying to force the PnR instead of running other plays (other than a few Melo-ISO's)

Don't go there. Douglas has never had to battle such hard cover. Gotta stick to facts: Lin played bad but Miami had their whole team focused on stopping Lin. Douglas has never seen that type of coverage.

airchibundo507 @ 2/23/2012 11:03 PM
I don't mean to troll Lin like Bonn does with Melo. And I swear this will be my last Lin post.

Trapping pnrs should effectively take the ball out of Lin's hands and force others to step up. But turning the ball over 6 times in one half? inexcusable. And a couple of those were just Chalmers and Cole poking the ball out of Lin's hands once he crossed the halfcourt line. You turn the ball over against Miami and you might as well forfeit the game. 15 first half TOs? Really?

And I don't blame Lin as much as I do D'Antoni. Was he fcking blind? Lin was useless in the first half but he left him in the game after Davis managed to do so well with the second unit. Same in the third quarter, with Lin playing until 2:00 left in the quarter when I thought he should have been yanked sooner.

D'Antoni left the bench in the game too long in the fourth. The bench cut the lead to 8. At that point he should have brought Melo and Amare back in the game. What ended up happening? The offense went stagnant. Baron started chucking 30 foot threes and we couldn't convert baskets. Even worse, we played defense and couldn't secure a rebound with Novak at PF. Then what happens? D'Antoni decides to play Novak at SG on the floor with Lin, Melo, Amare and Chandler. After Smith had been going off.

D'Antoni pulled this same sht in the Nets game leaving the bench unit too long on the floor in the second quarter which gave the Nets the momentum they needed to control the game the rest of the way.

When you have a deep bench, now you have to be smarter about which players need to play at certain times.

Davis was ineffective as well. And he was doing it vs the Heat B Team. (when Lebron or Wade was out).

The true test of a man's character is how he acts when things get hairy.

Everyone is smiles and smooth sailing when things are going good, like in a blow-out win against an uninspired Hawks team.

When things get hairy, the team concept goes out the window and we see One on Three ISOs; Melo doesn't react well. His first reaction is to forget the team and go at it alone, that's his TRUE nature. And that's why this experiment can't work.

In Phoenix, when MDA's Suns were in a tight spot, did they scratch the plan and start dumping it to Joe Johnson for ISOs? No.

Verdict: Fail.

Cut MDA loose or ship Melo, this has to be clear by now.

And because I know you will say "Hater", I will call out your IRRATIONAL LOVE AFFAIR with Melo!

Riding the BiPolar Coaster of being a KNick fan.

On nite we destroy ATL and off to "THE BIGGEST GAME IN 10 YEARS" and what happens?

Somehow we hung tight in the fist half. We were losing the game even when we had a lead.

Heat defense was incredible. The speed by which they stole the ball, trapped, blocked shots got on break was awesome.

This was the benchmark for the team to see what the highwater mark is for this season.

And we might not ever reach it!

Fire the coach? Kidding me?

4 games in 5 nites is awful.

Thinking us fans know how to fix it is awesome!

Lin finally ran into a wall.

Maybe they can get some practice in.

Thank goodness Baron is not the savior. Dude looks slow.

Lebron could have had NY, could have had the world. He keeps getting faster and stronger!
