Knicks · Give me a reason why he should stay (page 2)

Lin is just started his NBA carer and NY is a perfect place for him losing or winning.
He may think about it if MDA will be let go and we will get some triangle/isolation coach for Melo/Stat to run up their stats.
That's why I think MDA will stay. Dolan don't give a sht about winning.

So, so true. These players aren't playing hard for him, and he looks like he couldn't care less, even when in ANOTHER downward spiral like WTF is going on right now...

Lin knows he doesn't want to end up stuck and beloved on a team similar to Steve Nash. If Knicks Lin is heralded from here on out, then he's going to be stuck with a mediocre team forever until the end of his career. So the best way out of this is to make a quick exit before he end up stuck for good.
After this season, Lin should demand a trade and go play for the L.A Lakers. L.A is a team that is still a contender and in dire need of a PG. Besides Lin won't come with a hefty price tag so it is a win scenario for the Lakers all around. Lakers get a tremendous player that will be leaps and bounds above Fisher.
But I have a feeling if Lin had a choice to go somewhere, he would probably not make the move and stay with the Knicks. He knows how important it is to be a Knicks player. Lin only needs one championship and he'll be a hero forever in N.Y city.

If MDA can't then nobody can. Who is better than MDA? Answer nobody! Did I mention that he won in Europe?

That is why I said he should leave BEFORE he becomes an ever bigger deal. What part of "BEFORE" do you not understand? Right now, he's basically a rookie and cost teams peanut compare to the overpaid clowns like Amare and Melo.
You think Lin is going to stay at $800K figure salary forever with the way he's playing? Get Lin while he is still cheap and watch him develop even further.

Develop under a coach not named MDA? Not possible. Go with MDA in the offseason? Possible. Will he win with MDA somewhere else? If MDA wins somewhere else.

I believe Lin can strive under MDA but there's a 2 ton elephant in the room and nobody wants to do something about it. Look, Knicks keep playing out of sync and there is always someone injured, or missing on a game-to-game basis.
Lin is doing all he can with his high assists and his point contribution. How many time are we going to watch Amare and Melo stand around and watch players fly by them for a easy hoop? Melo only wants to play on one side of the court.
Yes, Lin is also weak defensively but when PG blows by him, I don't see any other Knicks coming in to help close up the lane. They all just stand and watch Lin get scorched. It was as if Knicks themselves are against Linsanity.

With or without a qualifier, the content is laughable. It would be a reach if you were talking about a pretty good young player, but to think that a guy who was sleeping on his brother coach should be thinking about:
Where he plays
His legacy to the game
Whether he has a chance at a title
Will he be stuck as the star of a franchise
Dealing with Front office demanding trades
LOL, wtf are you talking about??? Jeremy is still worried about his NBA career at this point, it hasn't gotten to a point where he isn't looking to trying to show he belongs in the league.
We have to make the post season if only to save ourselves the embarrassment of giving up ANOTHER lottery pick.

Well then, if Lakers called up Knicks front office tomorrow and say "Give us Lin" before the trade deadline, do you think Knicks are going to say "Sure, here he is, give us Luke Walton & Steve Blake for him.
Are you still going to say this guy slept on his brother's couch and still hasn't proven himself? otherwise why would you care where Lin end up if you think he's still worrying about his NBA careers. Maybe if he continues to play for the Knicks but it isn't even the end of the world if Knicks lose another season. What does that have to do with Lin not fitting in the NBA (yet)?
You sound ridiculous. The way you're talking, it was as if you're arguing me about Kwame brown.

They owe it to the coaches and the players to let them fight their way out of this.
+10000
Can't fire coach now. Let the season play out and let the chips fall where they may.
Won't be hard to adopt ssol to "help" the team moving forward.
1. Jeremy Lin was a surprise. D'Antoni does not know how to handle that or work with it on top of his head (or just given a few weeks)
2. Amar'e sibling death (more like a dead son) is not something D'Antoni can handle and encourage Amar'e to play well, just can't. Think how Jordan handled his dad's murder, by being out for a while and he was a superstar.
3. Melo, melo, melo. ... that was ALL Jim Dumblan and NOBODY ELSE TO BLAME. D'Antoni was just cleaning up the mess and couldn't do a good job wiping Jim's butt
4. Whole new bench players and some got injured. D'Antoni is probably saying to himself "Why don't you just shoot me god?"
That said, I still think we need new owner...Jim Dumblan looks more and more like the naked from waist down skinny white dude in prison screaming "Please boss, gimme some more!"
