Knicks · KNICKS vs. Trailblazers 7:30 PM MSG: No more fun and games. Trailblazing to the 1st Round or ELSE (page 27)
The game itself was a joke. I think the Blazers would have turned the ball over if they were running drills with no defenders on the court.

Every game counts right now. Doesn't matter against who. This is our playoffs right now. Bucks just acquired Ellis(good/bad who knows) to try to make a run at the playoffs, and we're still behind them for the 8th seed at this point. We won't win every game from here on out, but we need to treat every game as a must win, to get out of this hole D'Antoni dug us.

Be happy with beating the Pacers twice? hahah. I'll only be happy with winning every one of our remaining games ![]()

But the realist that I am will take a split with Indiana. And for the rest of the season? .500 ball will be a helluva lot better than 18-24 so anything better than that?
Bingo - progress!

ChuckBuck...you are the joke. Of course we needed the game...but there is nothing that can be discerned from this game whatsoever. Please! If you don't understand that, you are embarrassing yourself. Again, I cannot get excited until I see us perform against the Pacers. Change always has an impact short term. A much needed win...but this game would have been won if you were coaching it.

Knicks are tied with the Bucks but don't have the 8th spot because of the loss the other night. If they are going to make a run they need to get to the 6th seed or at least the 7th. Jeffries said D'Ant left because the Knicks needed to make a run if they were going to get into the playoffs and if he left a week or two later it might be too late. This was big. The Knicks just ended a 6 game losing streak.

Agreed.
We would have won the game if my man ChuckBuck coached it. Maybe by 15-20?
BUT ... WE WOULDA LOST ON A LAST SECOND MELTDOWN IF IT WAS COACHED BY EL-GURU-LETS-GO-MEISTER-GENIUS

Nothing can be discerned from this...OKAY SHERLOCK
CHILD PLEASE
There's no way you can downplay this victory. They won "because it's the Trailblazer" SMFH You're the one embarassing yourself. We lost to the friggin BobCats and Hornets(Remember that one? All Linsanity bandwagoners always seem to forget the Hornets loss). Just stop man, you don't know bball, you don't realize any win is a good win after a 6 game losing streak, and you don't recall our losses to real bad teams.

So now people want to bring up the opposing team and not give the Knicks the proper credit for winning. But when Melo came back and we lost some games, all anyone could say was "Melo is 2-8 since he came back, so its his fault why we are losing." Not one time did the Melo bashers mention that we were losing at Dallas, San An, Chi, Boston, etc. Funny how people use whats convenient...

funny how they beat dallas a few weeks earlier without melo.
any way you want to slice it this was about melo vs mda. melo played with more energy tonight than he had since early january for d'antoni.
to me - that's more an indictment of melo than d'antoni.
whatever, time to move on. but it's gonna take a while before i feel good rooting for melo again. as he said at one point 'when the grass is cut the snakes will actually try on defense.'

Why do people act like MDA only started looking lost because of Melo. He's looked lost his entire tenure here. Even pre-Melo trade. You guys only remember the good. How about watching Gallo and Chandler hoisting 3 after 3 and us only winning when they were hot. Us going down big to start games no matter the roster. Or how it seemed we never called plays when we really needed them. Or calling timeouts 5 minutes too late. All that had nothing to do with Melo. With this much talent D'Antoni should be embarrassed of his record this season..no excuses. Winners don't make excuses..they find solutions. Bulls definitely didn't when Rose had to sit down with back trouble..they kept on winning. Same goes with Bucks losing Bogut. Every team has built in excuses..they good ones find a way to win.

We beat Dallas at home. Think they didn't gameplan for Lin and Knicks, at home, after seeing Lin up close and personal just a few weeks earlier? Thats what good coaches do. Leran from the previous game, tinker and prepare for the nxt go around. Melo has played with this kind of energy before, came out guns blazing against the Bucks.....
But I agree, it was about MDA and Melo. Nothing personal, just a philosophical difference. Couldn't understand why MDa seemingly wanted a pure scorer like Melo who's most effective elbow-in, to hang out by the 3 point line in decoy mode like Sean Williams. But, I digress. MDA is no longer here. Time to move on and hopefully get enough W's to get into the second season.

yeah, if you watched tonight's game, melo spent most of his time at the three point line. weird, right. he took two jumpers from his elbow spot and missed both.
also, if dallas was focusing on lin, you'd think melo would be able to explode? right? in dallas? no. he dogged it. check his stat line in dallas, for when dallas geared their entire game plan to stopping lin, which should've opened things for melo. if he weren't dogging it.

whatever works and leads to wins.
Agree, the message was the same, the quitting was the difference.
What we saw last night was #7 actually trying. He shot 3 pointers, and was spaced on the floor as he should be. If it lasts, then it proves that he was dogging it but that will be overlooked if the team is winnin. If it doesn't last, it proves he is a dog. Either way, it's all on him now.
I will still root for the team, although Dolan is making it harder every year. If they succeed, I will give #7 his credit. If they do not, well....
