Knicks · Phuck you Dolan (page 2)

I am glad this forum has lots of senses on what the root problem is. I've been living in 2 other forums before this, and nobody on those forums agree with me that Jim Dumblan is the problem. You cannot have a winning team without a decent, logical, driven leader that will speak out from time to time. That means the owner, not the coach, not GM, but the one that's actually paying the bill. Just look at the history of Jim Dumblan as an owner he inherited from his dad, whom later regret and had huge conflict with Jim's philosophy on business and life, really. There were nothing good about Jim's record as an owner except he would be a great clown for conversation topic at the owners' meeting.

I've been a Knicks fan for 34 years, and I've never ever hated someone so much as to if hiring an assassin was tolerated in our legal system, I would help foot the bill to have Jim targeted (I'm sure his dad would be doing the hiring). I'll always be a Knicks fan because Jim Dumblan did not create this team, and I was born in Harlem. However, if I ever become filthy rich, I'd find a way to do a hostile takeover of Jim's companies and gain control of the Knicks. Now the question is, which coach will consider coming under the shades of Jim Dumblan? I know Phil doesn't. He turned down TWICE to coach the Knicks knowing Jim is the problem. Jerry Sloan said he would love to coach the Knicks? I hope that's just a rumor because I have lots of respect for that man. I don't have much self-respect, and so I will continue to be a miserable Knicks fan.

I hate Dolan but love the Knicks. 23 Games left starting Friday against the Pacers. I may be a glutten for punishment but there is NO WAY I WILL EVER NOT ROOT FOR THE KNICKS.

Dolan is terrible.. he really is, but this team isnt Marbury, spare parts and Isiah running the show. This is a very salvagable situation. The Knicks are still poised for a deep playoff run and the Melo lovers got what they want... a team where Melo is the man. Lets see him deliver. I have my doubts as well but Melo isnt Marbury, and last night it was clear he was going to lead by example as far as playing D, sharing the ball, hitting the boards... now lets see if he can sustain it and be part of making this a winning and accountable culture.

Too much to ask? A pipe dream? Maybe, but this is Melo's 2nd team, not his 4th. He got a lame duck coach run out of town. It happens. This year can be fixed. Go make the playoffs and get to the East finals. Yes.. that mean beating either the Bulls or Heat, and thats EXACTLY what Melo was brought here to do. So sit back and enjoy the show ;)

This is salvageable until next time Dolan decides to phuck it up again.

I don't trust them anymore.
Walsh + D'Antony was hope to me. Walsh being let go was a disgrace, this season has been downright ridiculous.

For the few linsanity games though, I really enjoyed watching the Knicks again. But now I can't anymore, cause I hate Melo as much as I hated Marbury.

Guess I'll have to wait for Dumblan to sell the team, cause he's the root of the problem, and as long as he will be there, nothing will ever change.

ShellTopAdidas @ 3/15/2012 11:33 AM
Dolan is all about revenue. He could care less if the Knicks win as long as he gets his.
ChuckBuck @ 3/15/2012 11:45 AM
Say what you want about Dolan, worst owner in sports, bad public speaker, meddles too much, whatever. But if you're going to let your hatred for an owner blind you from rooting for a team with so many likable players (Novak, Lin, Jeffries, Chandler, Jorts, Shumpert, Fields, etc) that actually like playing with each other and have fun on the court when they win is just senseless. Whatever side on the fence you're on Melo, he and teammates seem to play for eachother, and I cannot see Marbury in him at all. Body language, whatever. Who doesn't like losing? Captain Tyson is firmly in his corner, so that should be good enough for us, the fans. If we somehow make a playoff run, will you turn your hate for Dolan and Melo affect your love of the Knicks? If you do, I feel sorry for you.

Woodson Melo is way too close to Isiah Marbury and will lead to similar results.

I was a season ticket holder in Atlanta for the woody Joe johnson years.. the "iso joe" offense really pissed off a lot of teamates.. expect pretty much the same here...

After 35+ years rooting for this team faithfully, i probably will consider splitting up my time elsewhere.. the nets coming to Brooklyn is going to be interesting.. I would love to see an exodus of fans from MSG.. a big stick it up yours, middle finger to Dolan!!!

a lot of the Knicks fans deserve what is on the way. most, however, do not.

the one's who do not deserve this should band up and join the cheer against the Knicks bandwagon. if you cheer for them to lose, you'll be happy with the result most of the time :)

missing the playoffs will be like a championship. losing out on a lottery pick will be like winning the lottery. it's really the only smart way to go if you want to enjoy yourself.

I have said this many times... I agree..

I feel bad for you then. Go watch the Nyets with their Deron-less team, with no Dwight Howard to fill their seats...

You gotta stick with your team unless you are a forgaisey fan!

it's a tough feeling to have. this feeling of inevitable failure. i hope to be wrong, but i can't help but feel that the organization has created an environment where it's ok for a player not to try what the coach wants him to try. i just can't see how we can ultimately win that way. will we win more now that there is no more Melo v. MDA? uh, i would hope so.

my fear is that if things get bad again, and the media pressure ramps up, Melo's will will do what he just did to MDA, to the next coach.

The guy can't even read during a press conference. It's embarrassing to read a prepared statement like it was just handed to you before he went out on the podium.

it's generally embarrassing to have this impish looking toad as the head of your organization. who the fuck needs to read a statement to recount the events that just happened less than a few hours ago? lol.

My favorite part of his "speech" was the oh so pregnant pause and sigh he did after his first sentence. I swear, the PR guys put "make a sad sound" in his script.

ahahahaha.. I bet you were right on the "make a sad sound". Dumblan probably had to look up the dictionary to find out what sad sound really means.. He refuses to make public speech because he's impotent on conversations and English. The only thing he knows is how to inherit.

Thats whyi can't stand Dolan. He reminds me of Jerry Jones. competely clueless on how to run a BB team, but sure knows how to sell tickets!

To be fair, Pop and the Spurs won 4 titles playing boring basketball.

Both 90's Knicks Finals Team('94 and '99) were both boring and predictable on offense, but it was the most exciting basketball I can remember in all my years as a Knicks fan. Playoff basketball is never boring...

Not accurate. Jerry Jones actually won something.
