Players don't get that many chances and last second shots. 50ish for Melo is great for anyone.

9 years isn't a big enough sample size. You have to determine if he's clutch after he has a plaque in Springfield, Massachusetts.

melo has only played 639 games in his career. i don't think you can call him clutch until he hits 1000 games and 800 clutch shots.

O my gosh how can you say Melo is clutch did you see the tip in he missed after the miss free throw by Shump. He is not clutch.

I don't know about you guys but with under 24 seconds to play and down by 2 points their is no one in the playoffs that I want on my team with the ball in their hands. Melo > Lebron(lol), Wade(Yes I said it), Rose, KD(Hasn't earned it yet)and Melo over Kobe. Melo is clutch and we see it he has confidence to step up and make the shot. He is clutch. End of story.

What is the deal with sample size? Are you guys being sarcastic? I don't get it, but it's like on every thread. 45 shots in itself is a small sample to draw any conclusion from. But it does show that Melo is more consistent than others given the limited sample size. It's an indication of a trend but doesn't prove anything IMO.

As of a year ago, he has had 45 last second shots to tie or take the lead in a game. It's got to be many more by now. Is a player not judged how he performs in the clutch? 50-60 last second shots in the clutch? How many players have that? You don't get that many moments like that and when he gets them, he shines. A college player can hit a few clutch shots in a tournament and skyrocket in the draft. That's because it infers his clutchness. Same in the NBA.
