I have not seen another player outside of Tim Duncan, Scottie Pippen and DWade that used the bank shot as successfully as Jeremy Lin. Dude just knows how to use that glass. Are there any other players in the NBA today that uses the bankshot?

Tim Duncan

Dwayne Wade

Joe Dumars and Isaiah Thomas (high off the glass).

It's a superior shot because it is as close as you can get to a ball vertically falling into the basket which allows one to utilize the entire rim.

Lin does have a sweet bank shot. Its a shame its so rare these days. Its a great option for the vertically challenged, like myself . Lin fortunately doesn't have that problem.

Well said, it raises the chances of going in essentially (compared to not having the ark and getting blocked). Also allows you to get your shot off for the and one.

The bank shot in basketball is similar to the bunt in baseball. Everyone should know how to do it but most don't.
