Knicks now FOURTH overall in defensive efficiency. Damn, Woody. Division might be tough with no Lin, but you have to like how they're playing even with Lin out for the past week.

I think you can make a pretty good argument that the knicks are the best defensive team in the league right now.

Personally I don't care where we finish in any efficency ranking.

Its wins and losses.

I get that defense wins and this is a good thing.

The top six teams in defensive efficiency are all Eastern Conference playoffs teams. It kind of stands to reason that the Knicks defense needs to be as good or better than the playoffs teams they'll be facing.

I've always been of the mindset that defense wins championships. Which is why I've wanted JVG back for so long. But Woodson is doing as good a job with the defense as JVG ever did, with potentially worse defensive players overall.
