Knicks · GAME THREAD: The Bucks Stop Here !!! KNICKS vs BUCKS @ 7:00PM (page 30)

VDesai @ 4/11/2012 10:52 PM
Woodson has them believing they are not out of games and you can see in both this game and the one we won against the Bulls, the Knicks came out with serious clamps on D and muscled their way back into the game. We have made some pretty clutch 3's down the stretch too.

What was most interesting today is how they were able to close the game out with no PG on the floor for the last 5 minutes or so.

They have been a different style of team under Woodson. These guys are a tough bunch.

He closed out on 5 different shooters in the last 2 possessions!! Kudos my STAR - KUDOS!

Damn Right melo has been great on defense since Woody took over
So whats up now haters?

apparently we're only 2 games over .500, lest you forget.

Unbelieveable that the Knicks had to go 13-4 to get to 2 games above .500.
VDesai @ 4/11/2012 10:53 PM
One of Melo's best attributes is that after an initial miss, he has a quick second leap/quick hands and can follow his own shot before the defender can re-set. He made a huge play like that down the stretch today.

I notice he plays te scrubs in the first half to give the starters a breather but doesn't use them in 2nd. Brilliant. He made te adjustment after the pacer game.

what is it 12-4, now? pretty damn impressive.

bucks only had 45pts in the second half after 62 in the first half. good adjustments by woody and the knicks.

Word and in those 12 wins, we have beat some quality plus .500 teams.

Can't rebound, I watched teen woolf run down balls, rebound his own misses in traffic, it was horrible.. we were getting outhustled..

We give up leads to quickly.. 14 pt first qtr league, vanished fast..

Other than that, I think we played well...

Melo really had a good game.. 32/10, I have no problem with his performance, just a big time performance.. I will give credit where it is due...

Shumpert, still plays like a rook, but really got after it defensively

chandler got off to a great start ,really set the tone

Fields played well throughout..

Novak was hit some huge shots, that really turned the momentum

JR smith hit some big 3's..

We made shots tonight, and when we do, we win...

I lost my voice.. and I will say this.. I am completely disgusted with the officiating tonight... there was a play late, where mbaboute.. or however you spell his name.. blatantly pushed melo in the back for a rebound and a basket... NOW, we all know, that melo goes a solid 240.. there is no way in HADES he has position on you and all of a sudden dissapears out of bounds without getting shoved.... just horrible officiating... and the dumbleavy throwing himself into defenders when he shoots was also a joke...

GET THE BUCKS OUT OF HERE, WE WENT IN THEIR HOME AND SMACKED THEM..... I LOVE IT..

+1000

Great Points!

The mad closeouts on defense really hurt our rebounding. Also, the guards allowed way too much penetration tonight and last night and that gets Tyson out of position.

Im in italy, 6 hours ahead and this was worth staying up for, if only to see the back of blobman.

On a total side note, I want to give huge credit to Crushalot. In this day and age of jaded angry Knick fans, I remember you railing angrily about 1.5 seasons ago about every move the knicks made I and took you for a straight up whinging buzz-killer. I hold my hands up I was totally wrong. When the team does well and makes smart moves, or even when dumb moves pan out, youre the first to get behind it even if its against your stated position, unlike so many others who cant see the forest for the trees. Its so great to see the real knick fans get their swagger back with this tough, gutsy, grinding team. Mad props my man, mad props.

I totally lost it on that play. It could have changed the outcome of the game. Knicks overcame poor officiating and a good Bucks team tonight.

I think I broke my remote on that play..ridiculous.
What I like is the next play for the rebound one of the knicks just threw one of the Bucks out the way. Like if the refs not gonna call anything I'm gonna get mine. Love it. The Knicks are Tough Minded.

Have the Knicks lost 2 in a row since Woodson got hired. Signs of a mentally tough team.
