Knicks · If only D'Antoni's head wasn't so hard he would still be Coach of the Knicks. Hears why! (page 2)

Unless Melo and the rest of the team change things ASAP, non-Knick fans will remember that MDA has achieved more in the playoffs than anyone on this roster not named Tyson Chandler, and he'll walk away from this with the intact legacy.hahaha - I don't think so (in Jerry Seinfelds voice). I don't think so - I'm sure MDA has had plenty of 15-5 stretches too. No one except Melo loving MDA haters reaches major conclusions from 20 reg season games.

"Changing" != "Changed"
In how many games did Melo commit treason?

whom MDA wanted traded because he quit on the team. I'm convinced that if I explain this 5 more times, you will get it.
Otherwise they would have extended him.
Woodson was hired to be there incase.
Melo was not having any of what MDA was trying to do.
Melo is a star and he wanted to be on Broadway.
MDA wanted him to be part of an ensemble cast.
Melo is a lead player. Dolan wanted a lead player.
Is that right or is it wrong?
It may not win championships, but look how happy most fans are!
They love to love melo.
This franchise defies logic. Maybe thats whats so fun.
Its been a hell of a season. I hope we keep Lin.

I am convinced that you are wrong but I don't think you will figure that out. Injuries, and misuse account a lot for the quitting you are accusing Melo of. Also, when asked if D'Antoni could have held guys accountable like Woodson, Melo said that wasn't him.

I believe Melo was of that mindset and that while he might not have agreed systematically with what D'Antoni was trying to do, he didn't see it as a rift between himself and the coach. Remember in the interview after Woodson's first game Melo said he was going to text Mike to see how he was doing. Just my opinion but I think how Mike carried himself did not communicate how tightly wound he was. I actually think you might be right. Those interviews looked like he did not know. I don't think he is the brightest guy either. If he was, he would not have said that he was giving more effort for Woody even though he probably meant that Woody just pushes everyone really hard as oppose to MDA. If he was a bit smarter he would know that many equally not smart people would take what he says out of context. I have not seen one negative interview or comment from Carmelo yet - even though he is portrayed as such a villein and I have seen many villeins.

Yeah, I don't think every star player cares about the politics of sports as much as the fans do. Finding more energy for Mike Woodson to him doesn't mean he didn't like or give 100 percent for MDA. It's obvious he fought with MDA, but people don't fight when they quit. Just look at Dwight Howard in Orlando, not a single fight out him, he just went into the night.

It's just a matter of logic. If MDA has coached teams to .700 seasons, then of course he has done it for 20-game samples as well.
