I'll admit it, the moment we traded for Melo, I thought it made Amare expendable. His skill set didn't match the team, and he was a playuer who needed lots of help to score. Oh, and he doesn't play defense and rebounds like a SF.
His laziness and utter lack of care or concern on the defensive end are disgusting. Its who he is. If there are any takers at all, I will take virtually anything for him. An aging player, a scrub, a 1 dimensional guy, just get him out of town. Without a PG he is utterly useless. With a PG he can be a useful 1-way player.

Well if the knicks can convince NASH to take a pay cut, I would love to have him and lin in the back court, and AMRE would be back to his old self.
Big man needs a point guard to get him the ball..How many time does bosh have to go ISO to get his shot..almost never

Seriously, the guy plays soft. I mean if he dropped 30 I would not compain but if he isnt scoring he is USELESS. Pathetic rebounding and awful defense.
Im still waiting for this guy to show up.

I really don't think Amare gets defense. He always gives up the baseline. He seems like he is trying but he just doesn't seem to get it. Not sure if Woodson can teach him or if he holds him accountable next year for not playing d. Also, I agree that if the right offer is made the Knicks should consider moving him.

Agreed send him to whatever team Dantoni winds up coaching. Even if it's overseas in Italy! Then they can be re-united and not have to utter the word defense again

don't forget amare scored those 30 plus points in nine straight games last year cause he had a pg and shooters around him..He plays better defense when he's scoring at will and getting a bunch of and 1's..
But his defense and effort since melo came on board is grusome to watch

Dude makes 20 million and is not even dominating on the offensive end like he used too.
ANYONE is movable. Thing is we need some type of value for him.

Amare was able to make up for a lot of stuff with his crazy athleticism. Now that he's older it's starting to show. I don't think Amare's that lazy. He is simply lost. He can't read how the other side's offense is moving. He's the anti-Duncan.

There are a ton of decent free agent pgs so I'd be open to that but then again, I'm not too sold on lin anyway.

I thought he played amazing ball before Melo got here. IN some ways, better than Melo.
Speaking of lazy, everytime Melo missed he sulked and didn't get back up the floor.
Both of them need to figure this out. They are too good to play this mish/mosh style.
