With props to Nalod for making absolutely no sense at all.

When the knicks eclipse the Knuggs and do something then Denver accomplishments, or lack of are not relevant.

WTF????

The Knicks eclipse the Knuggs by simply existing.

Whats funny is your actually more attune to what is going on in Denver than anyone here.

It's hilarious. JRod actually knows what's being discussed on Nuggets boards? I seriously hope he was just making that up and doesn't actually spend time reading Nuggets boards.

Like I said, who needs to go to Nugget's boards? Read the posts. We might as well be a Nuggets board.

So theoretically the team could be Felton, Shump/Fields, Gallo, Amare, Chandler with Wilson Chandler & Mosgov coming off the bench, Anthony Randolph a very young asset with upside (that played quite well when Kevin Love went down), and we'd still have our 2014 first round pick and other picks we gave up.

Depending on how that was working, we could have perhaps made other moves to get Lin etc....

I think one way or the other we would have had to trade Turiaf to make some space, but we might still have the amnesty if Amare goes down (not sure).

It was a HORRID deal. Absolutely HORRID

Anthony Randolph is a scrub under D'Antoni but is probably better with Woodson as coach.

I think that's a lottery team, honestly.

Nobody knows if that team would have gotten Tyson. If you brought that team in and everything played out like it did for them, Gallo would have gotten hurt, Amar'e would have gotten hurt, Wilson would have been in China and THEN injured.

It does not matter if Anthony Randolph, Raymond Felton, or any of the other players we traded were scrubs. What matters is that they were perceived as valuable players at the time of the trade and thus could have been used in any of a number of trades. What makes a great GM is in part the ability to trade the players who are misperceived around the league as valuable. As an executive of the team, the GM knows more about the players on your team than anyone else does (how serious they are about improving, how mentally stable they are, etc.). If you have a player who is a scrub but is perceived as a young guy with tremendous upside, you're in a GREAT position to take advantage of the knowledge that only you have and screw some other team. If you have a dime that everyone else thinks is worth a dollar, that's better than having a ten dollar bill that everyone realizes is worth only ten dollars. The fact that we now know that AR and Felton were scrubs (just dimes) is meaningless - it does not in any way diminish the value they had 1 1/2 years ago.

Yeah.

Forget the fact that Wilson was unnervingly inconsistent 1 1/2 years ago.
Forget that Moz was bench fodder and his stats have remained the same from 1 1/2 years ago.
Forget the fact that Gallo missed more games 1 1/2 years ago then he's missing now for the Knuggets
Forget the fact that AR would have been more in MDA's dog house because he is now what he was 1 1/2 years ago; athletic with lower than average BB IQ

Yes, the trade was absolutely horrid! Is anyone in Nuggetsville talking about any of the people above? NO. They're talking Faried and Javale McGee.

Funny, the Nuggets boards have probably put the trade behind them. Why can't we?

May be because the Nuggets remains the same one and done team like before, while having a much better cap situation going foward, with a couple of first rounders going their way in the near future. What’s not to like?

I still don't know who whines about Denver?

I don't read every thread so maybe I am missing.

"Boston Moments"?

Jrod, I get you. YOur in the moment and enjoying the team. So am I.

Is it leading us anywhere?

It looked like the Amare/Gallo knicks were gong to make the playoffs last year. We still did. Boston Moment was a sweep.

We might have still been swept with Amare getting hurt and I doubt Gallo carries the team as Melo can. But we lost. I have not read a thing that mentions melo getting any blame for that.

Or Really that our team was just 4 games over .500 this year and our current playoff seeding.

I think we might have just been in the same place without Melo. With Picks, with some cap space or instead maybe with CP3, Deron or Dwight.

We got StarMelo and your happy!

Good for you!

That happened last year my friend right before the trade, when we had a winning record, were the six seat in the east, had cap space (to chase a real Super Star) and draft picks.
Unfortunately, we traded all that away for someone (albeit talented) that has not improve our team, checked out on the team early this season, admitted that he didn’t always play hard and as per his own coach must improve his conditioning for next season.

Last year my friend, Stat broke down, and what were you doing this year? Signing who? What Real Super Star were you signing this past year? What were you doing with your draft picks, since you were going to be making the playoffs now with your new Real Super Star? Or were you dumping games to make your beautiful draft picks more valuable?

Superstars with tits? Gallo, wilson, moz or felton no have man boobies!

JRod, you forgt.

MY point is we are really not much better off.

Yes, tits and don't forget the groin injury. And the fat, don't forget he's fat too.

Just don't mention scoring 40 and trading clutch threes with LBJ.

Nalod, you say trade is no brainer, but we are not better off. Gallo, wilson, moz or felton no have 40 points between them and all their flat nipples.

KnicksFE wrote:That happened last year my friend right before the trade, when we had a winning record, were the six seat in the east, had cap space (to chase a real Super Star) and draft picks.

I already told you the Knicks should have used their young players, draft picks and salary cap and trade for a real difference maker (May be CP3). Unfortunately the Knicks are own by DOLAAAAN.

Denver won two games more than us in the regular season.

Both teams have had injury.

They traded Nene for McGee after realizing a mistake.

BOth teams are 1-3 in the playoffs.

That looks pretty even.

Felton was trade for miller. Wilson is hurt.

For the 150th time, Melo is a better player than all of them.

But the bottom line is W's and L's.

JUry is still out on this one.

How do we measure the trade of not for Wins and Losses?

Replace MDA with Woodson about 2 weeks/3 weeks earlier and the Knicks are the 3rd or 4th seed in the east, far from the same record as leat years group. When healthy, with Woodson at the helm we proved to be a better team than the Pacers, Sixers and Magic.

CP3 toasted with Melo and Stat to join the Knicks. No way was he coming here without Melo, nor was Tyson Chandler.

Careful trying to be rational instead of worshiping MDA & Gallo

Don't forget those future HOF Wilson, Moz, Felton and Anthony Randolph! And maybe then we're in position to get Faried and McGee!

Only because you talk so much about the Nuggets.

Is it irrational to note that we've been sub .500 in games Melo has played in for us? It's more rational to ignore that, right?

Gallinari for three! yes!

Oh wait, sorry, that's the Nuggets announcers saying that.

Wrong again. You first mentioned not mentioning Denver in a thread that's primarily about Denver.

Except that Nalod thinks I'm nixluva, for some reason.

While Buick is convinced I'm Bippity, for no reason whatsoever.

At least it's all about me.

And not Denver.
