Hes made millions failed in the eyes of some in the nba.(Not mine) I dont know if a statue is a bit overwhelming for me but hey, there happy! I saw the youtube videos of them screaming MAL BURY MVP, so hes doing something right in BEIJING! Get the hate out the blood, even if a knick fails isnt he still in the family?

I am all for the chanting and them being happy. There is nothing wrong with them showering the love on their new champion.

The statue is funny because its only recent we started doing it with players and many of them are all time greats who had long careers in one place and are enshrined as a hero, the face of the franchise and the face of an era.

Hasn't marbury been with like 3 chinese teams? in three years?

No, he is not in the family. Not this guy.

I don't start the hate, but I don't let it get swept under the rug.

I was really excited when the Knicks traded for Marbs and I was excited when Isiah was hired. Layden was very disappointing and getting away from high character role players from the Jazz was refreshing. It certainly didn't work out and I was glad when the franchise moved on. I did think that Marbury got stabbed in the back by Isiah and wasn't given a chance with D'Ant. Glad to see that he has found success. He tried to give back and do the right thing but he never got how to win with teammates.

Family might be the wrong word. Turning your life around and reach the top of your profession in another country warrants respect.

I hear Ecuador's looking for hockey players.
