They're talking on ESPN about trading Bosh and Wade to the Magic for Howard. Interesting idea.

Wow if Miami goes down early I can definitely see that. Orlando will never get better value in return

That trade would probably get Lebron his ring if Howard recovers from his backiotomy.

Dwayne Wade has to be hurt. That was the worst game Ive seen him play in the NBA. Did u guys watch the defensive rotations he wasnt moving. I dont know what was going on with him. Wade has been injured his whole career he might not have much left in the tank. If I was the Heat Id trade him. The Magic wont get a better player then that. Could u imagine how pissed Wade would be. He got them to come to Miami and they ship him out

To me it was just another example of a star dogging it for a coach that he does not like.

During Halftime of the Knicks/Heat Series the hosts Magic, Wilbon, Barry & Brussard all stated that they didn't like the way the Heat were playing even tho they were beating our injury riddled Knicks team. The Heat were able to take advantage of the Knicks who were having injury and chemistry problems and A coach that was struggling to find something that worked with what was left. The Heat weren't really playing that great but rather the Knicks were playing that bad. The Knicks struggled to hit shots or even run consistent offense. You can't beat the Heat with one guy.

The Pacers are sharing the ball and getting major contributions from everywhere. The Pacers have size, Depth and they've dug in on D. Right now the Pacers are the better team. Wade and Lebron will have to step up several levels to make up for their weaker supporting cast. If Wade and Lebron both go off, then can beat the Pacers, but they have to do it 3 more times and i'm not sure they can. Especially since like the Knicks they have to change how they were playing all year with Bosh out.

Pretty much. A healthy Knicks team is better than the Pacers; we pretty much proved that during the reg season....

I think he meant due to our head to head matchups! I actually do think that the Knicks at full strength are a more dynamic team. This season sucked and i'm glad it's over. I want to see this Knicks team with a real off season, Training camp, Pre season and 82 games. I think this team can win the Atlantic the way they should've won it this year. Both the Knicks and Heat are top heavy teams so good health is essential. I'm hoping the Knicks can address the depth issues this summer.

I agree that the Knicks at full strength were better than the Pacers - I just worry that the are rarely at full strength and we do lack the depth the Indiana has. Still, we beat them without a PG and Amare and we match up well against them.

I too hope that GG does a good job adding much needed depth for next season.

Honestly I respect what Woodson did for the Knicks after MDA, but this exactly why I would prefer different coach for our team next season, the Indiana Pacers are moving the ball and exploiting their mismatches (size) against the Heat, they are not forcing the offense through Danny Granger arguably their best scorer the last few years. Otherwise, I don’t think they would be leading in the series.

On the other hand, the Knicks forced the offence waaaaay too much through Melo, even though he was going against MVP Lebron James, and honestly I don’t think we had the mismatch on our favor at the SF position at all. They should have shared the ball more.

And again, while I was not expecting the Knicks to win the series against the Heat, we lost four games by 18 points averages, way too poorly for whatever remaining talent the Knicks had, they should have player better. NO EXCUSES.

I'm not so sure, Indiana’s core guys are very young with a lot of growth remaining; also I believe Indiana will have more than 20 million in salary cap in the offseason to add to their core guys, so while today we may have more talent, I’m not sure next year we will have the better team considering all the opportunities they will have.

You can't play through Chandler. Amare was down with hand. Shump's knee down. No PG who could break down defense. Baron down. Nothing else left to do.

In game 1 Chandler was useless, Amare was still realistically coming off of the back injury, and Shumpert went down in the 3rd quarter (after playing a total of 19 minutes).

Miami came out with a better game plan and had the wings to disrupt any type of ball handling the Knicks had.... and this certainly negated any PnR and post play that Melo had.

Teams usually make adjustments in game 2; good to great teams can make adjustments at half time of current game when fully healthy and with decent playmakers (which realistically the Knicks have none of).

I am not really disagreeing with your premise, but just asking what really could have been done?

Jmpasq @ 5/19/2012 11:21 AM
How much does it suck watching the series. A Healthy Knicks team would of clobbered the 76ers and could of taken the Pacers as well. We just got the worst match up. We never get any breaks I swear we are cursed

At least I would say today that Woodson tried everything posible as supose to not changing anything at all while we were getting embarrase on national TV.

Woodson started Smith in the second half of game 4 and 5. Douglas was so maligned after the year he had that it is hard to blame Woodson for not playing him more. Injuries forced his hand and Douglas did ok but the Knicks were just too depleted to overcome a foe like the Heat. Losing Shump hurt a lot. There aren't many guys that can contain Dwayne Wade.

Injuries will kill any team, Indy is just taking advantage like they should..It is what it is, a key player goes down your going to struggle..

Miami only got by boston last year because rondo got injured, San an got swept last year because of injuries to ginoble and duncun..

Miami should never feel like they did anything special beating the knicks who had a depleted roster, there should have been more of concern when they couldn't put us away early in any of the games..and the fact that they had a sub par 2nd half of the season..

Your not winning and championships in this league without a impact big man and a effective pg.On defense, that where you get your steals and rebounding, on offense thats where your getting your direction and paint points...

Clean @ 5/19/2012 1:36 PM
I think people under estimate boshs role on the Heat. He is not a superstar but he is a player that makes the heat a complete team. He is like a super role player. If we had him instead of Amare I bet you we would be a much better. His ability to hit the open mid range shot is what we are missing from Amare this year. He is also a better rebounder and way better defender than Amare.

I wasn't asking for the outcome to be any different even if we were fully healthy, I just never understood why we were getting blown out in every lost, when we still had TC (DPOY)and Melo on this team. I was expecting a better efford.
