Knicks · We are banking everything on Jeremy Lin to be our star points guard. What if it fails? What is our backup plan?? (page 2)

Lin i feel would rather dish than score all teh time i mean he'll score if we need him to but really our two stars need to be able to scarifice their point total for teh good of the team
Well I think Amare should be getting 15/18 shots a game..Lin takes more shots than Amare when they play together...Melo is the least of my worries, he can adjust to Amare getting more touches...

Thats why we need a PG who is looking for Amare...The frequent Iso's came about because of all the injuries, If you had a better idea to get into the playoffs and play the Heat let's hear it...

Im always calm bro...You don't like replies??...They had a tough go last year with Amare and Melo both came back from injuries...Seems like Lin was more interested in Linsanity and was still gunning it...But could have been the coach, we will see...

Just like Genty with the suns when he only tweeked MDA's play book after he was gone because of nash, I don't see woodson Implemeting a whole new system, especially after seeing how successfull it was for Lin.
whats also note worthy, you always here how hard he works, so believe or not, Lin is our best shot we have to making this title run serious..

the heat are also one of the best defensive teams in the league, especially if they can focus on shutting down one guy. knicks need to work on ball movement and have another playmaker involved.
but, yeah, it showed lin was not invincible... which he's not. he's still a very promising young guard though.
anyone else terrified that dragic is asking for $10M a year? i always though lin and dragic would get similar offers...

agreed. but during linsanity, lin had that air of invincibility. heat decimated it. and took pleasure doing so. no matter what they say, the heat liking beating the knicks. which is another reason i didn't want to face them in round 1.

OKC had their struggles with the Heat with 4th and 5th year superstars...You are expecting a bit much from what is essentially a rook, no??

Dragic has payed his dues, and wasn't injured this off season.
He has good size and can play 2 positions, I think he is ahead of Lin by far.
Not saying Lin cannot be better, but he still has a lot to prove.

fair enough. still, i worry that if Nash doesn't go to Toronto, they'll turn around and offer that money to Lin or Dragic. Toronto could offer Lin 4yr/$36M (which is the max he can be offered by anyone, i believe)... but that would KILL the knicks.

Dragic is a little more proven then lin, rather a lot more proven, if lin had another yr under his belt of proven he's no fluke, i can see him getting 10/11 mill easy.
Heat are good defensively regardless to who's our pg, you beat them by having 2 PG's on the court, who can drive and knock down threes (simialr to dallas last yr, terry, kidd, barea) you make them pay for traping, and dallas had one of those 3 burrying wide open back breaking three's.
Ironically both Rondo and Westbrook had aleast one monster game against the heat during the playoffs(westbrook a 43 pt game, Rondo a 44pt game) and lost. Both game saw Harden struggle from DT, and PP and allen struggle horrible, missing wide open threes.
