Says Amare has big time health issues, with his back and his Knees..Hold up a minute..Since Amare has been in a Knick uniform, he has not miss one game because of any knee issues..First of all, he wears nothing around his knees, never once complain of any pain, so where is that coming from.
Amare has back issues and now he's damage goods, yet Howard under went back sugury and no one looks at that..
I thought this was about a sequel to the movie "Seven"

huh? Many people have been discussing that. I doubt you can find a thread here devoted to Dwight Howard where his injury wasn't discussed.

probably so, but I was just watching Steven A rip the knicks and amare..Also (in so many words) say lin was a fluke, he said he believs he can play, but not @ the level he was..
I'm just getting a little tired of hering the nets are a better team then knicks even without Howard

Steven A is just trying to provoke exactly this: that people talk about his opinion. Would you care if he said Amare will come back strong next season and Lin will be amazing with Kidd around? Nah, that doesn't sell papers nor create Internet buzz in NY.
I caught that too. It's that time bash the Knicks. I have said this before Steven A. Is a tired act the man does not speak his mind. He hides around the basis of friendship. He is a phony always will be. Now he is creating injuries for Amare. Back we know about but knee, poor journalism on his part speculating with out facts.
When Lin first busted on the seen, prior to the laker game, he brush lin off has a kid who had a couple of good games against the nets and rapts, after he destroyed te lakers, Skip bayless had him eating crow, and evn then he refuse to give in, he gave the lakers all sorts of good excuses.
It wasn't till lin hit 10 FTs in the 4th qtr of the game against indi (the 1st of a back to back) that he started warming up to him.
The only thing I ever agreed with Steven A was his assesment of TEBOW..
But I think he's way off on Amare and LIN, and so are a lot of folks
Stephen A. Smith already annointed the Nets the better team in NY pre-Dwight Howard. Nothing that comes out of his mouth makes sense to me anyways.
Everything 7A says is sooooo dramatic........
ITs his act.
Linsanity won't happen again and it was bound to end. Amare played some great ball down the stretch. Game 4 against Miami he dropped 20 going 8-13 and 10 Rebs with a sliced hand.
Amare does not have to be a superstar for the team to succeed.
Depends on what you mean by succeed. Unless he returns to his level of performance a few years ago, it's hard for me to imagine the team competing with the Heat.
He is always dramatic. I didn't hear him but my guess is he didn't mention that amare is working with Hakeem. Ne

WE can't succeed with him playing those minutes and that amount of touch's.
Its a team game so I think with great talent spread out he does not have to put up big stats for the team to succeed.
Im a fan of screamin a smith...so what exactly did he say that was wrong...(im asking innocently since i didnt hear the interview)
The reason y no one talks abt dhowards back is cuz we havent witnessed jis decline like stat did. Ppl will talk abt stat cuz hes NOT the same player. So i believe jimnif he says there r back and knee problems...dolan basically paid $100mil kto an injured player. Thats y no one wanted to sign him
I also agree with SAS in that lin wont b great...i think hell do a decent job...but he wont be linsanity great.
I think the reason y he excelled was the MDA system...and no melo or stat to demand the ball. With woodys system he wont get the chance to freelance.
Im hopking for at least 13ppg & 7asts...thats decent

did you see ray allen in the playoffs
bosh miss half the playoffs (with back issues)
James harden was the worst player in uniform during the finals, a key pice to OKC team.
MDA always says, luck does play a roll in winning a title.
What about Wade electing to have knee surgury instead of playing for the olympic team.
Camby is not going to the heat, he's not even a good fit for that team, and playing time will be min..
mami is not a lock to win jack next year, as a matter of fact I know there not winning it all next year..

Bonn: how would he even put up the performance of a few years ago with this current team? Get the league to add another ball? Stat's in a different situation now. Hopefully he adapts.

Amare took 14 shots a game last year and averaged about 15 shots a game on the Suns. His touches barely went down. His effectiveness when touched the ball is what went downhill.
Seven A is an entertainer and his schtick is hilarious.
No one can predict the future.
I don't think you can judge STAT next year by the scoring but by his FG%, rebounding and defense. The dynamics of the team have changed.

Im judging W-L's for the team. Playoff seeding is out of our control but top 4 in the east is not unreasonable for this roster.
Amare healthy is really the most important aspect to his game. The rest will just fall into place.

Bonn I understand your assesment looking at a stat sheet, but anyone who's paid attention to the actually game (which i know you have) saw a big difference in where and when Amare was getting his shots.
It's easy when Nash and Felton were feeding Amare for and 1's and open jumpers, it's quite a difference when you expect a pass and get look off for Tyson or melo..it's just hard to find a rythem when you never know when your getting the ball, When you do get it, you rush your shot, or try to do to much.
I agree Amare has to come to camp in better shape, and a better understanding of his role, but just hering that he's practing his 3's and plans on working with hakeem on some post up moves instead of rehabing an injury, has to be encouraging
Don't get me started on Stephen A.
