I don't think the Felton deal would have happened if they planned to match the offer to Lin.
They are going to let him walk for nothing.
care less either way.Lin is the product of Dantonis PG friendly offense. Example the guy that just came back here, the 1 everyone hates now averaged 17 and 9
I think the knicks are trying to prevent the rocket from making lin another offer

he signed the offer sheet. there is no other offer.
once he signs an offer sheet it's binding.
the reason they were able to revise the other is that Lin didn't sign the first one.
Knicks dont think he is worth the money. Pretty simple.

And yet the Knicks thought Jerome James was worth the money.
Go figure.

The current regime isn't trying to repeat that mistake.
I don't think they'll match unless they can work out a sign and trade.

As stated many times. S & T is no longer an option.

Yeah... Unless they can swing a sign and trade.

Yeah... Unless they can swing a sign and trade.
Then at least we won't lose him for nothing

Yes, Jeremy Lin is on the same level of Jerome James in terms of talent and worth ethic. Brilliant observation.
Furthermore, the Knicks have already made the same mistake. Just take a look at the contracts this current roster has.

That is sound logic
Jimmy Dolan did his calculation.. People in Asia will not make him profit cuz you know.. they got no money..
As the "esteemed" Walsh said, a player can be good at one number and bad at another.
This is a clear example.

Like I said that Lin was the exact same as Jerome James? Don't attempt to put words in my mouth, dude.
They are both are both players to get a big deal after a relative short stint of above average play. Everyone who isn't choking on their own sarcasm can see that.
Furthermore, the Knicks have already made the same mistake. Just take a look at the contracts this current roster has.
...so if you feel that way, why should they do it again, then? So the same folks who are basing the Knicks relevance on Lin can turn around and say "same old Knicks, overpaying players who aren't worth the money"? BTW, every player on the Knicks- and in the NBA- who have comparable deals proved their worth for more games (and YEARS) than Lin has for this one. Now with THAT out of the way, please feel free to show us where all of these "same" mistakes were made on this current roster.
We still don't know if the Knicks will match the deal or not, but it damn sure looks like they DON'T want to gamble on that, though.
