felton...surely the answer to it all!
There ain't no answer unless his name is Chris Paul
well, the knicks literally have no chance of acquiring chris paul if they don't re-sign Lin. and even if they do re-sign Lin they have no chance of acquiring chris paul.
and since when is chris paul gonna beat the heat?

Chris Paul would at least give them a chance.

My view of competing with the Heat is to beat them at every other position that's not Bron and Wade..that means PG, PF, C and the bench...Defense has to be big with this team, man I can't wait...

Well then, type to pack it in and start rebuilding again.
Thats if we only build for rings and not to be a playoff team where anything can happen.
If the Heat stay healthy, they are not really beatable.
Should all teams then rebuild?

I'll take 13 and 6.

It's all about winning a title. That's why they play the games. It would be different if they were "close" but if they need someone the caliber of Paul (who they can't get) then we're talking about a team that wont go far. If you haven't built a title team then, yes, you're constantly rebuilding to do so. There's nothing worse than being some middle of the road team who gets low 1st round picks. I am from the train of thought that you're either in it to win it or you're out of it and building to win it.

agreed. knicks fans always operate under the assumption that we're one big trade away from competing. this is what lands us the zach randolphs, eddy currys and carmelo anthonys of the world.
we are not one trade away, guys. unless that trade is amar'e for lebron. then maybe.

So should the knicks have blown it up every year with Ewing? They clearly were not gonna get by Chicago. Unless Jordan fancies baseball.
What happens if Wade rips up his knee? Then its anyones game.
You can only build with what is available to you. I say win 55 games and see what luck can do for you.

The 90's Knicks were always right there, down to the wire. They made 2 Finals appearances and they fought some fought ECF battles when they weren't in the Finals. Let's see if this team can even come close to duplicating those playoff performances before we say if they're a contender or not. They have a lot to prove.

again, this is kinda the "we were one trade away..." fallacy. i always think it, too. i always want to think there's this one trade that will be the magic salve.
there usually isn't that one trade.

They do and it will be a telling year.
I think that the only team better then them in the east is Miami.
I am rooting for at least a competitive ECF and my expectations were met and surpassed.

Kiki sucked, Ro was over the hill, Xman only played 1 season, D Harper was on the decline but played well and Charles Smith is a 6'11 soft bitch who can dunk a dman ball when he's 2 inches away from a damn rim.
Thinking back I'm amazed they played as well as they did.
