Shhhhhhhhhh, listen? You can hear the Dolan/Melo haters trying to dig up attractive pics of the N*yets dancer hos!
All this "my owner is suave and hip and your owner is a fat doofus" makes sooooooooo much more sense than any other line of discussion I've ever read on this board. Very enlightening. Keep it up fellas.
i think he played dolan pretty bad, doing a bait and switch to get dolan to bite on anthony and overpay while he got the point guard the knicks could have actually used-- williams-- to play with stoudemire. if anything it was an act of attrition... you know, the kind of move a savvy chess player would make in the short run in order to take advantage of a rival in the longer run.
the nets roster is not the most convincing but the knicks roster looks like a mess right now.
Right and Joe Johnson make more than Melo...DWill who isn't a max player making 20 mil...DWill isn't a leader, can't carry you in stretches like Melo did last year towards the end of the season, Doesn't make player around him better, not a great defender for his size, Isn't a floor general like Paul...I'm dumbfounded by the hoopla over DWill...Prok is winning a chess match huh...He is paying Gerald Wallace 10 mil the next 4 year and paying Bopez 15 per who isn't better than Chandler at 13 mil per...
When D-Will was in Utah he was doing everything Melo was doing and then some. He's also responsible for disposing of Melo's Nuggets in the playoffs in a head-to-head.
Melo didn't lead us anywhere his first half year here because we were already a playoff team
Melo did a horrific job first half of last season...... took a jolt from Jeremy to salvage it
Melo did a decent job second half but how much credit does he get since the team changed coaches?
While Melo has been to the playoffs more yrs or consecutive yrs than Deron
Deron has been to the WCF as has Melo. He also got there before Melo
Deron has been to the Semis 3 times Melo only 1 time
So "BY THE NUMBERS" in Post Season edge goes to Deron based on head-to-head

Inaccurate again as usual not surprising considering the suspect
While Deron deserves blame for his performance in Jersey he wasn't fully committed to that team and he got traded. It wasn't like he was forcing himself somewhere he wanted to be like Melo. But once again yep he did not deliver according to his rep last year.
Let's revisit Utah shall we?
2003-2004 42-40 barely missed the playoffs...No Deron
2004-2005 26-56 missed the playoffs by a wide margin.....No Deron but they had Boozer(slightly more than half a season/AK47(half season)/Harpring/Memo
2005-2006 41-41 barely missed the playoffs...Deron's 1rst year
2006-2007 51-31 made the playoffs(4 seed) and made the WCF his 2nd year....Melo's 4rth yr and 4rth yr in a row of getting bounced in the 1rst round.....
And for the record the Jazz were like 11gms above .500 at one point before Sloan up and quit Williams was still there.
GOD BLESS AND GOOD NIGHT....Sheed approved

No difference in games with D Will and Marbury. Both don't make their teams better, they just put up great individual numbers, that's all. D Will needed talented teams in Utah to advance. D Will led a team with a healthy Kim K and Crash Wallace to 22 wins. Melo single-handedly willed a Lin-less and Amare-less squad into the playoffs for an entire month. Guys will trash Melo to the depths for supposedly getting D'Antoni to resign, but what Deron did to one of the most respected and hall of fame coaches in Jerry Sloan is 10 times more despicable.
Win.
Last year N*ts were horrible. Knick roster was much better. Knicks tried. Apples and oranges.
For any Knick fan to compare what N*ts are paying is the "pot calling the kettle black"!
Who cares, its not our money!
Most hype on the N*ts in the media have them about as good as the knicks from what I can read. Since many of you are slamming them I'd say they are pretty good because in the 8 years I have been here most homers have gotten most things WRONG when it comes to inflateing the knicks and discounting other teams. (Nalod is the reigning prediction win champ from last season btw!)
I have the kNicks at 52 wins and the Nets at 49. I'd be inclined to change that after reading what most of you have to say about them.
Personally I think they have a better potential chemistry based on teh make up of the roster.
The Russian and Dolan don't play the game so its insignficant. To defend Dolan because he owns the Knicks is indefensable.
Hate the owner but I love the team. Its ok to do so.
The russian is so much freaking cooler than Dolan its not even to be compared. Prokhorov is like a villian in a james bond movie! HIs island might blow up one day if he tries to take over the world but those dudes usually have a good run before they meet Bond. "Mini-Me-Dolan" premature ejaculaton of a man can't hold a candle to Prokhorov and his evil empire. The Barclays arena is the death star to Dolan! "That Little Man" got some competition. Lets see what Dolan can do when faced with real competition.

I'm not worried. He's not even close to "best PG" in the league. CP3 shyts on Deron in every way possible and twice on Thursday. Deron proved his "Marbury-ness" the last season and a half with the Nyets. First he chased Sloan to resign and retire, then next probably Avery Johnson within a couple seasons.

Deron has been to the WCF as has Melo. He also got there before Melo
Deron has been to the Semis 3 times Melo only 1 time
So "BY THE NUMBERS" in Post Season edge goes to Deron based on head-to-headIf DWill was so great what happen to the Nets last year...Players get hurt like on the Knicks, did he carry his team???...No...He is a max PG..Does he make players better...NO...Utah had a very good team...Boozer was doing work...about 20 and 12..Okur..AK47..Milsap doing work...They weren't so reliant of Williams to "carry" them...Unfortunately for Melo, he was mostly the one and only offensive weapon until Billups came along...You saw waht he did towards the end of the season..Is Deron that type of player...No...
Let's revisit Utah shall we?2003-2004 42-40 barely missed the playoffs...No Deron
How can u be taken seriously when u argue about Melo's first round record given who the second best scorers/players on those teams were...Here are a list of the second best scorer on the teams Melo was on....2003-04 Melo 21, Andre Miller, Voshon Leonard both average 14 per...2004-05 Melo 21, KMart at 15 per, 2005-06 Melo 26, Ruben Patterson, Andre Miller avg better than 13 per...2006-07 Melo 29, Earl Boykins at 15 per, AI was traded to Denver that year, 2007-08 AI avg 26 and Melo 26 lost to the Lakers who went on to the Finals, 2008-09 They got Chauncey went to the WCF, 2009-10 Melo 28, Chauncey 20, lost to the Jazz, KMart hurt, rest of the roster????...If you going to be a fair arbiter, include all the facts of the case...Just don't spin the facts to suit your argument...U aren't going too far in the West against the Spurs and the Lakers with Voshon Leonard, KMart, Earl Boykins, Ruben Paterson, Andre Miller, playing the role of second fiddle or the second best player on the team...So now, do you really want to compare what DWill was working with versus Melo...

The most overrated 20-something win team in the history of the league, actually.
Melo didn't lead us anywhere his first half year here because we were already a playoff teamMelo did a horrific job first half of last season...... took a jolt from Jeremy to salvage it

Another tired lame excuse from you.....
Denver as a team PPG averages were here we go more ownage
2003-2004 Nuggets were ranked 5th highest scoring team in the NBA2004-2005 Nuggets were ranked 8th tied with Orlando in the NBA
2005-2006 Nuggets were ranked 5th highest scoring team in the NBA
2006-2007 Nuggets were ranked 3rd highest scoring team in the NBA
2007-2008 Nuggets were ranked 2nd highest scoring team in the NBA
2008-2009 Nuggets were ranked 6th highest scoring team in the NBA
2009-2010 Nuggets were ranked 3rd highest scoring team in the NBA
That's your problem though you only see the game from an offensive argument perspective and you pick and you choose when to apply it. In the meantime this is going to have to 3rd Degree Burn on you for a minute, I'll wait until you're wrapped and cooled off.
