....shouldnt have left you. its been awhile since i posted here and i have been a member for almost ten years. i had reservations doing so because i was kind of alarmed with negativity and bitterness towards each other lately from old and new posters alike. some who have been here just as long or longer leaving, threatening to leave or straight up kicked out. it seems like we got along when we were losing since we had the same gripes. however, i love this board and love posting here so i wont let that deter me. we all are fellow knick fans and love our team even though we have different feelings about them and their direction. i, for one, am exceited about the upcoming year and cant wait to get started. i will come back to post because i love talking knicks basketball and will respect anyone elses opinion also. lets be positive to each other and hope we can have a great year. let training camp begin!

Agree with you.

It's a reason why In have been posting less and less. It was very volatile here, even before the Lin thing. The Lin fiasco put things over the edge, though. We had people calling each other fake fans because they were upset over the loss of Jeremy Lin. Really? So I'm a fake fan because I'm mad my team didn't re-sign a good player? There has been a 'no-criticism' mentality around here lately for absolutely no reason. We haven't accomplished anything in 12 years but people are getting offended if you criticize Dolan, Grunwald, Woodson, etc. Nobody's perfect - certainly not this organization - and it is always open to criticism.

All that being said, I'm ready for the season to start. I've missed basketball dearly. I can't wait to see how all these new additions work out and if all the old guys have anything left in the tank. Let's do it!

I am also looking forward to this season.
A lot of questions will be answered.
All excuses are behind the team and there is no sudden savers.
We will see what this team is about and if it has any future moving forward.

WELCOME BACK!!! New Year and hope springs eternal. this is gonna be a very interesting year with all the changes that took place. Brooklyn Nets rivalry already brewing. The New Lakers. The tougher East. I think this Knicks team is setup to really be much improved. Things make sense now from top to bottom. The identity is clearer. Talent is improved. Forget about the past and just look forward to what this team does this year. This team more than ever looks like an old fashioned Knicks team. Tough D and tough Players up and down the roster. Glen and Woody seem to make a good team.
jazz74 @ 9/30/2012 9:17 AM
well, we are underestimated imo on every site with nets and celtics ranked above us. i believe that we can compete for the division with what we have. like the above posters said, no excuses this year. we will have a full training camp, also their little "mini camp" they had last week so things should be good. however, maybe i am ranking them too high. everytime i have faith they will do better they disappoint. i hope they wont this time.

Welcome back!

Passions run deep. Bottom line is if you here cuz your a fan. Haters are fans and want the same thing as Homers and thats to "WIN"!

Trolls come and go doing their thing enjoying stirring things up. I respect the Homer for the blind dedication. Pure Love!

The Hater over thinks it but thats not so bad either.

Soon the games will start and we'll be able to talk about them instead of the abstract of hope.

Glad you are posting again. I don't think you are ranking them too high. I also don't think you can underestimate the impact a full training camp can have on this group with Woodson. Grunwald built this team around his coach. D'Antoni never totally had that and I am not sure about the effectiveness of his training camps. I think this team comes out ready and surprises a lot of people. I can't wait for opening night. I hate the Nets more than ever.

We have been stuck with the same arguments for a while, but I think that's because it's the offseason. I do think people are too hard on Melo, but I also get that some players can just rub you up the wrong way. We're not going to find out who was right about Lin and Felton, or whether Amar'e is finished, or whether Melo and Amar'e can play together or whether we got too old, until the season is well under way- cant wait!

Rejoice- media day is tomorrow, lets hope this season is a good one!

I dont mind criticizing the team and you dont have to LOVE every player on the team. However, i do not like the insults thrown at other fans because they do not agree with you. i remembered debating with other people, whether it was briggs or enyspree, about players or the team as we are all humans with different ideas. however, no matter how frustrating the debate gets, we never got personal or tell people to get the hell off the board. thats crazy to me when the team has been at its best for a decade.

A minor fact constantly overlooked by some of the haters on the board.

At least as training camp approaches, the negative Knicks threads and pro-other team threads have decreased to 10%. A great step in the right direction.

Interior Defense! Consistency! Health!(please, oh please!) 3's! Finishing at the rim! PNR's galore! DreamShake post moves from the entire front line!

Go Knicks!

Welcome back jazz74!

There is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel, it's the start of a brand new season. Every team including the Heat starts off with a blank slate so it's all about starting camp fast for the Veteran laden Knicks. Once roles are defined, it's up to Woody and co. to help the players execute it. I could easily see the team as a defensively focused 2004 Pistons type team or a modified version of the 2008 Celtics. Let's all junk the negativity and let the 2013 Knicks show and prove before we down them.
