(I apologize in advance for those of you who AREN'T into video games. Just skip this post)
So I just got the new video game. I know it sounds silly but this game is so realistic that I use it sometimes to see how teams will match up vs each other. Anyways, knicks are ranked 12th (5th on defense)
Melo 94/Stat 84/Kidd 80/JR 75/Tyson 77/Shump 80/Ray 74/Brewer 74/Camby 73/Wallace 66/Kurt 64/Novak 53
(for what its worth...Lin = 77..lol)
This game plays well above the rim...its just easier to make sensational plays...the PNR roller big man actually rolls to the basket...since kidd and felton r good at the "oop"..u just keep throwing it up after the PNR...
a new feature this yr is the icon aka "signature skill"...so of example, CP3 has a "dime" icon...so each time he passes the ball, the player has a HIGHER FG% of making the shot..or melo has the "racing car flag" icon which means hes a good finisher...when he attacks he finishes the and1
anyways, for the knicks:
melo = finisher, clutch
Stat = dunker
shump = ups and pick pocket
kidd = alleyoop, dime and floor general (everyone plays better on o)
tyson = eraser and anchor (the means everyone players better on d)
JR = microwave
brewer = pickpocket, lock (locks players down) and hands (steals)
felton = alleyoop, ankles (cuz he BREAKS them!)
camby = anchor
thomas = brick wall (sets great picks..lol)
novak = 3 ball (obviously) and anti-freeze (since he never gets cold...lol)
Lin (finisher and floor general)
I like that you added Lin for good measure...
Does the game allow me to make Lin a fair contract offer before Houston swoops in with a poison pill? Does it allow me to shut Mike Woodson up about Lin and whoever said they would match up to a billion dollars? If so, I am investing in a modern gaming system

I have to admit, I'll be watching Lin closely to make the knicks justified what they did
yeah, i just got it too but didnt get a whole lot of time to play since i had to go to my second job today. i played a quick game against the lakers and it was very fun. i love the dunk intensity meter. nice touch. cant wait to start a franchise season!

I reserved it a few weeks ago what I went to pick up Borderlands 2.
The graphics and gameplay seems top be extra tight. I heard that the system has been revamped for 2K13, so that will be interesting to check out.
I can't wait to see how we can play the current players with the legends of past teams. I'll be throwing the All-History Knicks team toghether, too.

There are a number of better and more recent tracks that could and should have been used such as "Ni**** in Paris" or "Who Gonna Stop Me". Also, why does Jay-Z's image appear so often in the intro. This is a hoops games... Meh!

Yeah, I will be juggling both, as I am really big on Borderlands 2.
That USA '92 vs. '12 game should be sweet! I may have to try that, too.

my rule when i play my friends is u cant pick the knicks...since were all knicks fans...it would be like fighting my own family (is it that deep? yes SIR!)..lol
the game is great!
started my association campaign with my knicks and found out that the best starting lineup is this:
melo, stat, chandler, kidd and shump
the only thing is that felton is festering on the bench so i got to watch his attitude for my team chemistry. kidd is great with his passes and i am leading the league with assists. melo is ranked second in scoring and kidd is making scoring much easier for him by passing at his sweet spots. shump is better too as a recipient of alley oops and his scoring is much better than last year. the only bad thing which is realistic is that back to back games, kidd and stat tires quickly. so i use my bench more.
I feel that tyson is unstoppable with the alleyoops. Both felton and kidd feed him. Also stat is a great finisher in the game. So my front line usually dominates
Finally bought and played last night. First time NBA2k title I've bought since 08. My game stinks but if anyone wants to get at me, I'm Rude26 on 360
I cant compare it to any past titles but I personally think the game is great. Played with the Knicks, and I although it is a video game, I found myself getting excited with the different lineups I was able to put together and not losing a beat.
Say what you want about the teams age, but if this team can stay healthy and not have any major injuries, this is one dangerous squad.
