Might have dodged a bullet. Also wish Lin well and a speedy recovery. Want Lin at 100 percent for when he faces the Knicks.

I'm pretty sure Felton will be juiced for that home game with Lin hearing alot of cheers from the MSG crowd. Can't wait!

I think the knicks made out like bandits swapping Lin for Felts and the season will confirm this........
I guess Felton finally got in Basketball shape in those last 18 games, after all.

Have you ever been in sports in your 20's? I used to play all day on concrete. If you get injured it's not simply cuz you played too much at that age. It's just an injury. It can happen at anytime having nothing to do with the amount of minutes you played. Usually it's making some sharp stop or cut that puts an extra stress on your leg in an unusual way. Shump wasn't being overplayed when he got hurt. Did CP3's coach overplay him or D Rose's coach run him into the ground. Did D Wade's coach run him into the ground? Why is Chris Smith hurt already? This is not to say that wear and tear doesn't play a part, but a few more minutes a game isn't usually the cause. I would say that the more aggressive a players style is that increases the chance of injury. All that high speed starting and stopping and sharp cuts can really stress the joints.
No I have never played sports in my 20s- I was spectacularly bad at every sport I tried at school, so I avoided it as best I could after graduating! Now I'm in my early 30s I just swim and walk now- they are the two activities that require the least amount of skill, but may help me stave off a heart attack!
Usually I'd agree with you on this, but Lin's meniscus injury was labelled a chronic tear, which as I understand it, has no particular freak incident, but happens over time. Brewer had the same thing but he's been playing much longer so its expected. I'm no expert though, so you may be right.

He did- for all the talk of Felton being a disaster last season, his stats once his coach was fired were pretty solid.

Man, Felton played last season out of shape, after Portland traded Miller and a first rounder for him; No excuse for an experience veteran to do this on a young team, as a Pro, he was a total disaster last season.

Yes he did, specially the 46% from the field, means he was getting to the basket alot more.
Speaking of which, I am interested to see if Lin can get to the basket and draw fouls like he did over Linsanity. Im guessing his field goal drops when he can't and has to shoot more jump shots. Time will tell.

Knicks have a fairly new Medical Staff (forget the woman's name who's in charge now) and, they were the ones that noticed Catino Mobleys heart condition. The old guys who Marcus Camby blamed for not letting him know how serious his injury was after he left New York. The jury is still out on how good they are but, lets not blame the new crop for the failures of the old.

not if Lin has a good season it won't. Wish the Linofiles would just go and become Houston fans. All the bitching and complaining, you'd think they were women infatuated with the guy.

That's the thing though, keep this between me and you, I don't think he will have a "good" season.
He will have an average season(16/7 on 43-44%) on a very bad team (I honestly think they have a shot at the worst record ever) and nobody will care. I think he showed his colors after MDA walked.(already posted the stats)
It will be all knicks all the time!!!!
Lin is playing possum ..He is fine..He just needs a little attention to stroke his ego..I'm sure he worked hard on his game in the off season...I can't imagine him coming in rusty with all that has gone on in the off season...So he claims (LIN)gering injury??..Can't believe NBA TV showing Raptors/Pistons game when OKC/Houston is playing at the same time...
I don't see anything about a lingering injury there. It reads more like he's still getting in playing shape after knee surgery and his recovery.
So how is ronnie brewer who had the same surgery going to be ready for the season opener?
gunsnewing wrote:So how is ronnie brewer who had the same surgery going to be ready for the season opener?
Brewer had a medial tear, Lin had a lateral tear. The recovery times are different.
Dude getting started early with the excuses.
Was supposed to be minor surgery. Guess not.
