Either broken ankle or worse Torn Achilles or ACL. Thats what happens when you play through injuries
AlexanderFuSheng @ 10/14/2012 12:56 AM

I knew it was gonna happen, I'm just surprised it wasn't right after the Ibanez Home Run.

It's the offseason... and the Mets suck donkey dong. Sorry, Jeter going down is big news
gunsnewing @ 10/14/2012 1:13 AM
Official word: Broken Ankle done for the year.

How big was the Ichiro trade now?

Do the Yanks have any prospects ready to step in next season.

The Yankees have been trying to get Eduardo Nunez at bats because he can hit and is already on the roster... needs to improve his fielding though

no one in particular. We've seen minor injuries become more serious when playing hurt

They called up Nunez, but Nix will take over at SS for the remainder of the playoffs. Effing A-Dud better get his shyte together lickity split.

I was at Friday's game... bought tickets off a guy on this messageboard. Anyway, everyone was cheering on the way out because ARod didn't strikeout. Funny slant to a really awful postseason

Im gonna hate here.....

Its a sign of things to come. Sucks but this is what happens to old men. They break. Rivera broke.
Petite broke.

They can come back Yanks had to play hard to make out of the wild card.

Gonna hate hear and relate to Knicks. I think we gonna have a bit of this ourselves. Amare is a old for his age.

One has to factor that in and Thats cool, but its preseason and we got guys missing games already. Its only preseason but we all hoped "preseaon was a time to get the chemistry good and Joe "18-6" Clark get his rotations set and experiment.

The lack of honesty from the MSG ministry of Propaganda and Re-Education doe not exactly give me the warm fuzzies when it comes to blowing off minor injuries!

Biggest question was the chemistry between Amare and Melo. I hope they get time to work it thru!

Apparently he will have surgery and need 4 to 5 months to recover. Who knows if he'll be the same.
