While I know it means crp--has any team in NBA history not won a game in preseason and gone on to win the whole gig? They have looked slow overall and thin in the second unit. Do forceful athletic teams with speed like Oklahoma and Miami just have too much of what a team like the Knicks or LA just do not possess?
Well in the Lakers defense they have not been at full strength , either Kobe , Dwight or Nash has been out I believe for multiple games, I don't think they will be as good as people think they will be , not a lock for the finals at all but I wouldn't panic either.
I would think that they would need the same time to jell like the Miami Heat.
Seems like every quote from Dwights mouth displays an almost child like quality.
Don't mean much if he is "Superman" on the court, but this guy is like real life cartoon like figure.
They have 2 new starters at crucial positions, PG and C.
Lakers just need to get to the playoffs. Nobody wants to see a healthy Laker team in the playoffs.
I vaguely remember a few teams in the past losing most of the preseason (maybe it was the Spurs) then doing great once the season started (and the other way round). I think with older teams, the vets hold back and just use it to get back in the swing of things. Also Nash is a notoriously slow starter who usually plays poorly in the preseason.
I think it will take months to gel (if it was us, people here would be yelling it's an excuse!), but also the Lakers you see in the regular season will look much better than the ones you saw in the preseason.
DH just started playing. they are integrating 2 new starters, its going to take time. still not sure if mike brown is the right HC but LAL is gonna win 50+ games and be a team to reckon with in may and june.
If it means crap why are we discussing it? You work on things in the preseason. Winning games is secondary in the preseason
The princeton offense, even when modified is not an easy thing to pick up let alone when your players are injured.
Dwight is just getting back and Im going to guess he never played with anyone with the caliber of Pau, Kobe or Nash.
The goal is to surge and get a top 3 seed by seasons end.

Totally agree....dude thinks he's something that he is not. Definitely some kinda complex. The dude is very weird
Can't deny that I'm a bit surprised but they now have two players who are used to being "the man" and I believe we are going to see Nash bridge the gap in short order. I believe he could have done the same here but I believe that Kidd and Prigioni will achieve the same result.
From watching Felton's performance in the last game, it looks like he is starting to realize that he has to change his shot selection. If he has it comes down to the team being able to stay relatively healthy, which remains to be seen.
