I an. I have tried to explain the cba and contract many times. Glad someone else is doing it. Similar to when I railed on Mike D, I think guys tune you out if you are always saying the same thing.
Heard on ESPN that OKC is scoring 2pts more per game without Harden. I am surprised that Harden is playing this well although I knew he had a game, more about his contract than anything else. The real test will be in the playoffs. Harden hasd to prove that he can step up when the chips are down. Looking good so far.

Actually if he would have made Lin a priority and held off on all the other quick to rush financial decisions(like signing Novak/Kidd/Prigs/Trading for Camby) it wouldn't have been an issue but thanks to finally admitting Dolan had major money concerns.
Funny how Kidd/Camby/Novak/Brewer/Rasheed are burning a much more significant hole into his bank account now(Taxes included) than Lin ever could.
Case in point we are on the books for $80mil in salary which is about $9mil over the cap. This year the Tax is still dollar for dollar, that's about $18mil total in Tax dollars to be paid back to all other teams in the league. Since Brewer fell to the bottom half of our roster and out of rotation with his poor play and I'll swap Camby and Sheed in terms of rotation importance...
Here's how it would break down most likely to come off the bench at this point if remained
Prigs $450k
Cope $450k
Thomas $1.3mil
Brewer $1.1mil
Camby $4mil
White $850k
Balkman $1.6mil
This pretty much represents the $9mil over the Tax in salary. So dollar for dollar Tax Consideration Brewer would have been on the books for a total of $2.2mil this season.
The team would have had 2yrs to address the salary cap before Lin's poison pill hit. You know similar to what Memphis/Denver/OKC did with addressing Gay/Harden/Nene after receiving their massive deals unloading salary if concerned with major Tax implications. Not saying Lin should have been unloaded if resigned by us but surely we could dispose of players like Novak/Kidd/Camby if Lin proved worthy with his play...... but when you're shortsighted and not innovative in planning you make irrational decisions such as letting a 23yr old point guard go for NADA! Dolan only wants to get state of the art when players trash talk his binkie on the court....
