Let's be honest though, if Lin had started out slowly (like he did this season) on the Knicks, 'fans' would have been blasting him and the media would have turned on him in typical impatient NY style. Don't know how he would have responded to that. Rockets are better for him- no media pressure, no unrealistic expectations and a lot more patience. And that's one of the main problems with Knick fans- no patience, no development, no supporting players through slumps. Look at folk wanting to ship Shumpert off a few weeks after returning from an ACL tear. As soon as anyone struggles, it's throw them under a bus. As you will never have players who never go through slumps, then you'll constantly have roster turnover and will watch players flourish on other teams.

I still think the Rockets made a mistake with the Robinson trade at the deadline- lost some good depth for a player I'm really not sure will amount to anything.

yea, they also beat miami as well i think..

I haven't been following the team a lot this season, but the third quarter struggles last night mirror what we've done the last few seasons... i think it happens to a lot of young teams, but yeah.

Overall, it seems most of the starters besides Lawson disappeared last night. Surprising to see that from Gallo because he's been consistent for the most part in 2013. Faried' gotta be more consistent too. If he's not rebounding the ball, he's not providing much on the floor.

Iggy's offense is pretty much shot now. He's almost like a liability on the floor... thank god he's still a decent defender.

Wilson and Dre played well.... surprising with how Miller played b/c he's usually the whipping boy when they lose.

I think the team still needs a pure sharp shooter and they're complete. I don't think Gallo's that player. Not saying he can't score, but I'm talking about getting someone that can hit 3s ala Korver, Novak type of player.

I wonder if we would be looking to trade for Webster in the off season with the 2nd round pick acquired for Brewer, or to actually use the pick in 2014 since we have no pick's with all the trades we have used for Felton/Camby/ and Chandler trade
Those 2 GS 2nd round pick's could have came in handy as well that we threw in for Melo
We could have drafted Twolve's Shved and not worry about a future poison pill because GS's pick was an early 2nd rounder that has 3 year's option for deals

We can't do sign and trades anymore due to being over the luxury tax by $4mil. However Webster is a free agent I think. It's about to get really difficult for us to add players. We have the MMLE ($3mil), our draft pick and vet minimums and that is all.

Don't think we really have a choice- if he's willing, we have to sign JR or because of the new CBA we will run out of players in a year or two and have no contracts over the vet minimum to trade.

not myself, I have always been patient with the young players.. I understand the growing process, although you want to see progress.. I was ready for the rebuilding phase, I thought walsh was doing a great job until dolan stepped in.. as far as Lin, I was preaching patience.... I am not like most knick fans....and there are a few others on here who feel the same way... I guess we are labeled haters, or somber something... lol

end of the second and 3rd qtr hurt, but denver has been pretty solid in taking care of business of late.. Gallo got hurt late in the second, left the game, came back after the half and tried to play through the injury.. He was not right and karl sat him, and rightly so.... otherwise gallo has been playing pretty darn good of late.. both he and lawson..

iggy's offense as far as scoring is not there, but he is far from a liability, he still is making assists, and his defense is key to that team..

Denver does need a sharp shooter, because gallo is not just some spot up shooter, he is more of their do it all guy.... they have this kid on their bench in fournier that they hope can be that sharp shooter I think..

I know you wouldn't of, because you do actually believe in developing and having patience with young players, and have always been consistent with that. But you know how it's been here for decades- young player is blasted at the draft before they've even played a game, then is over hyped, then struggles, then is blasted and a trade is demanded for a vet because we are always 'one piece away' from a championship. We're in 'win now' mode, we have to 'go all in' etc etc.

I sometimes think you stray into the realms of hatred, due to your feelings about Melo clouding your judgement, but then I always think what I'd be like if a player I hated was the centre piece of the Team (like Kris Humphries!) and I get where you're coming from!

I guess you have not visited the clutchfans forum. It's like a war everyday between LOF (Lin Only Fans) and LOH (Lin Only Haters). There were a lot of discussion there questioning Lin signing. Even their announcers wanted TD to get more PT than Lin. It started turning around after the first Knick loss to the Rockets. Now LOH's are pretty quiet. A lot of the LOH by the way are racist guys.

But I gave up on that a log time ago when I realized long ago that we are screwed with James Dolan as our owner

Lin was gift wrapped to us after we gave up everything for Melo and Dolan managed to messed that up too.
