question: did you sit down and watch the game? i didn't see the game. your post resembles someone who just read the statline and more than likely misinterpreted it.
assuming that you didn't see the game i am going to offer a different take:
lawson went 8-20 and had a 53.4TS% which is carmelo anthony territory. lawson also went 0-6 from 3. from the game trax it looks like he took several during an attempt at a comeback which is maybe not the wisest thing to do. it means that you are reluctant to execute. i have been remarking all season that lawson needs to tighten his game up a bit. so even when lawson handed out 12 assists he also didn't orchestrate sufficiently. his .60:1 usg/ast demonstrates this. not ideal for this position on the floor. lastly and most damning is the fact that the other 4 starters took fewer shots than the bench players did. in fact the bench had a much better +/- than the starters which would seem to indicate that andre miller did a better job at the point guard position than lawson.
obviously this is not a complete picture but as i said i am merely offering a different interpretation of the statlines without having seen the game.
of course he didn't watch the game, he doesn't have a clue of what went on.. it is so obvious... gallo got hurt in the 2nd qtr... left with 3 minutes to go... started the 3rd qtr and from what I heard tried to play through some pain... it didn't work.. Karl sat him..
I'm watching Jazz Clippers and the halftime report included an interview with the Jazz GM,
he said that they would only sign players that have the quality and character that meet Jazz standards,
that's why they're always competitive, sometimes contenders and always without drama and silly things,

I get it. But wasn't that Scott Layden's mentality in NY?

Just found the stream but Jazz are getting their @sses handed to them in the third quarter. Down by 19.

Wow. Candid review.

What is going on with his knees- weakened cartilage in both knees, bi lateral bone bruises in both knees (from bowling?!), sounds like he has some sort of degenerative disorder with them, yet he'll still probably get a big contract this offseason.
Wizards win again against a good team.
Where are the likes of TKF (and others) after Houston loses to the Washington Wizards?
You know, for as much negativity surrounding our Knicks from some of these posters, I find it funny how teams such as Denver (Gallo/Wilson/Mozgov/Randolph), Golden State (Lee) and Houston (Lin) all have more loses when compared to our Knicks. But, we don't hear about Denver, Golden State and Houston loses, now do we?
But yea, no mention of Houston losing to the Wizards? Or what about the fact that Houston's only gone 10-13 over their past 23 games? No mention of this. We only hear about Knick loses as if everything is all peaches and gravy out in Denver, Houston and Golden State. Well, all three of those teams have done more losing when compared to our Knicks here in 2012-2013.
In regards to Houston losing last night? It was because of Jeremy Lin too. Watched the entire 2nd half. Houston lost by only two points, due to Lin. Lin only shot 2-9 with two turnovers. Only 5 points and 1 board. Lin may have put up 6 assists and 3 steals but it wasn't enough to make up for his 2-9 shooting with only 5 points, 1 board and 2 turnovers. Now guys such as Chandler Parsons, James Harden and Patrick Beverley did what they could do, in order for Houston to have a chance. But Jeremy Lin on the other hand? Let's just say that his fans haven't posted about it. And for good reason.
There is no way Houston makes the postseason this season. Quote me on it too. Both the Lakers and Mavs will pass Lin's led Rockets.
I don't wanna hear about how tough the Western Coference is either, because Carmelo Anthony is attacked left and right due to his postseason failures against the likes of San Antonio (x2) and LA Lakers (x2). And during Melo's years of the elite Western Coference? The West was much stronger when compared to today. Especially while the likes of Ginobili, Duncan, Kobe, Dirk and Nash/Stoudemire were all much younger and/or enjoying their golden years while Melo was a Nugget. Denver/Houston of today are going up against lots of aging stars.
But yea, Denver's only 3.5 games from the 7th seed and Houston's 3 games from missing the playoffs.
Houston is a really young team playing shockingly well. I'd expect a team whose average experience is 1.7 years to be closer to .350 (especially in the west). The fact that they are above .500 and have lots of picks and cap space is really promising.
So DC is thriving since there inefficient pg has came back or is he playing more efficient?
NYKMentality, that is why you can't take what they say seriously when they criticize the Knicks.
Denver and Houston are allowed to lose because they are young.
Truth is Houstons cap situation is screwed for summer 2014 due to all those poisin pill contracts. Guess who will have cap space when Lin becomes available? The Knicks.
Denver has no Harden type player and they are loaded down with contracts. Atlanta Hawks 2.0.
I am not aware that we are unable to do sign and trades by being over the cap as a taxpayer
Is anyone sure about this?
Lakers did do a a sign and trade for Nash and they are the highest payroll for this year, although they did have a trade exemption from Odom
We also did sign and trades for Felton/Camby as well?
So is anyone sure we cannot do a sign a trade for Webster or anyone this summer?

I think what you are talking about starts this year.
Harden is good at drawing fouls, but he does also get a lot of unjustified calls that Melo and Amar'e would never ever get.
I'm not so sure about the Rockets- they're fun to watch, but the way they play doesn't tend to do well in the playoffs. They're in a good position cap wise and pick wise, but aside from this offseason, Morey has really struggled to pull off big trades. Free agents wise, I'm not sure there's anyone I like- Josh Smith? No. Dwight Howard? No way. I can see them signing someone like Paul Millsap, maybe they go after Al Jefferson. Not sure who they need to add to take the next step.

Pretty much how I feel. That team is just shocking at how well they are playing. A lot of that goes to Lin and an even larger amount goes to Harden.
To complain when a young team like that loses 1 game, after being on a pretty good streak, is just so NYKMentalitish. I mean, we have been playing like crap for 2 months. And now Houston loses and Lin has a bad game? So what, he is still playing better than his savior in Felon (The guy I wanted as Lin's backup) and is 4 years younger.

Wrong those were both bad losses but here's the kick..... Houston and Denver haven't been playing a bad 2mos stretch of basketball we have. Also you 2 knuckle heads consider Knicks CONTENDERS now ask yourself do you consider the Rockets and Denver the same? The obvious answer is NO! Then CHECKMATE on how the losses look. What can be taken seriously is how emotionally unstable the 2 of you are after bad performances by us. To keep things fair and objective though...

First off dont call me a knucklehead. Dont act "brand new" just because you got a new screen name.
This isnt the NBA forum man. The comment was directed about those who want to talk about the greatness of Denver and Houston everytime they win and disappears when they lose. It's lame. Same people who come out of the shadows after every Knicks loss and you never seem them post after a Knick win.
Knicks have been bottom feeders for over a decade. You cant rebuild forever. 2 more season and we will have cap space again. So I dont understand all the crying and complaining about Denver and Houston having a brighter future than us.

When are people going to revise their opinions- the wizards are a pretty good team now everyone is healthy- none of the above are bad losses. They've gone 6-4 last 10 games and in addition to the Knicks, Nuggets and Rockets, they've beaten the Nets and the Clippers.

I think Morey is going to push for Dwight in a sign and trade. He wanted him before and is desperate to make a big splash. He already has to some extent but I don't think he is content with what he has.

I agree, but I don't think Dwight is the right move for them. I'm probably biased (can't stand Dwight, I think he has one of the worst attitudes in the nba), but I think they already have a servicable C (Asik), so I'd rather they went after a PF.

Great all around post. But yea, new screen name? Who was he before 3G4G?
3G4G wrote:Houston and Denver haven't been playing a bad 2mos stretch of basketball we have.
It doesn't matter. The season isn't only two months. The season is 82 games. Every game counts the same during the regular season, and guess what, both the Rockets and Nuggets have more loses when compared to our Knicks here in 2012-2013. Denver has two more loses while Houston has 7 more loses when compared to our Knicks.
And yes, dating back to 12/24 of 2012 we've gone 12-13 overall during our previous 2 months. But, lets not act as if Houston hasn't gone 17-15 dating back to 12/24 of 2012 ala 2 months. We'll be .500 during our previous 26 games (with a win tonight) while Houston's only two games above .500 during their previous 32 games.
It's laughable, these guys ignore Houston's loses so often, where it's came to the point where these guys don't even know how often Houston has lost. But yet...
3G4G wrote:Houston hasn't been playing a bad 2mos stretch of basketball we have.
Well guess what? 17-15 says otherwise.
