I agree. I know they love Arthur but I thought trading Speights was a mistake. However that trade was supposed to allow them to keep gay. Gay in Toronto is now a dark horse MVP candidate. They neede him tonight.

Not trying to compare Gallo to Durant, but Denver stands zero chance against OKC due to Denver not having a STAR who can compete against Durant. Because Gallo isn't the answer at SF. Miami has LeBron to compete with Durant. And Melo may not be LeBron, but Melo has ALWAYS competed against the likes of both LeBron and Durant. Gallo on the other hand? Crumbles against this type of talent. Like a cookie.

You'll see. Just continue watching. Already seen this coming (and spoke upon it) before tipoff.

Great shot from Lawson but if I were a true Denver critic (learn from the best) I'd state how Westbrook flat out destroyed Lawson during the entire game. I guess a game winner changes that for Lawson. Durant is a pure fire NBA star, and flat out destroyed Gallo at the SF position. Just as I predicted. I may have been wrong about Denver as a team tonight, but I was damn right about Gallo. The guy didn't even show up tonight fellas. Almost as bad as game 7 of last years first round exit. 2/7 shooting with only 7 points? Only 2 boards? Pathetic. 0 assists, 1 steal and 1 block? Laughable. God forbid a specific Knick performed this poorly? Even during a Knicks win? Forget about it...

Denver as a team? Kept it much closer than I expected. Still can't win on the road. 13-19 road record? Weak minded road team.

Thing about Denver is located at a very high altitude. When they play at home the visiting team is gasping for air in the 4th, not enough hemoglobin to keep up. Meanwhile the Denver players have adapted and have higher hemoglobin levels to help them not be tired in the 4th quarter at home. Def helps with the home record. On the road tho its a different story.

I thought we're not supposed to draw any type of conclusions from the 1st quarter of a game let alone writing off a player's career.

Gallo always got up to play Melo when Gallo was in NY. I'm fairly certain you rooted for and liked the guy when he was on the team.

If Gallo was on the Knicks and people were overly criticalm, I'm suspect you'd stick up for him too.

Why do you feel the need to disparage former Knicks?

Gallo is a promising young player. He's not a max contract guy and that's why he's getting paid $10M per basically.
Carmelo Anthony is a max player that teams build around.

Both of these things can be true without the universe imploding. Don't let the rabid Melo haters on this forum turn you into some crusader who feels the need to shit on former knicks.

If Gallo sucks it doesn't make Melo any better. If Melo has a bad game it doesn't mean we should have stuck with the guys we drafted.

Denver is built to try to win without a star, mainly because they had one and he forced his way out. It'll be interesting to see if a bunch of pretty good players can beat a team that has a great player.

Are you actively rooting for them to fail or something? I don't quite get it.

Why do I only use Gallo/Durant as examples out of all potential players in which could've been spoken about? Because without having a SF in which can at least compete with Durant; you have no chance whatsoever against OKC. That goes for San Antonio as well. Great regular season team, but come postseason play? No answer for Durant at the SF position. None. Trust me, I seen what Durant did to San Antonio during the Western Conference Finals last season. Great Spurs squad. No answer at the SF position for Durant. Then comes LeBron, stuck with Durant. Same goes for Melo, always competes against Durant. Gives you a fighting CHANCE to knock them off.

Long story short, watch what Durant does against Gallo tonight. You need that star SF who can compete against the elites, and Denver doesn't have that...

The effort you put in vs. the quality produced in some of your work is really sad. Im not sure anyone really thinks Denver is a true contender or gallo is a even an allstar.

Yet Denver is a good team and gallo is a good player and they are deep.

Home teams in any climate and altitude plays better at home.

You draw consclusions in the 1st period about a game, yet alone a players career? even a season?

Thats weak. Denver has picks from other teams it can use going forward. To many, they are better then one would have thought after trading its star player. Its not about Wilson and Gallo, its their whole approach.

Memphis has also done quite well without its star and it thought it was not a true contender with Gay. They have more flexability and see the next few years as rebuilding but productive.

With you, if its not infront of you, you can't see it.

One can be a knick fan, but not ignorant of all that is around the league.
