That wasn't an excuse. Even with them missing layups he still had a pretty good game. Just watch the game. You will see what I am talking about. Harden has already been seen getting really annoyed with Asik on passes he makes that Asik just fumbles away. I mean these are actual bunnies.
Also, when you start watching the games (maybe), you will see how Lin increases the pace. He gets that ball up in a hurry getting his teammates in the right set so that they can be successful. This is off rebounds, TOs or made shots. It really is fun to watch.
Derek Harper on the Mavs telecast was gushing over Lin. He is saying even his missed layups become buckets because he puts so much pressure on the defense that when the big man helps, Lin's big man cleans up the boards for a put back.
Here are Beverly's per 36 min #s right now: 12.5 points, 6.9 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 0.9 blocks, .587 TS%. That's based on a small sample of playing time and I have no idea if he'll keep it up. But the point is he's playing at a very high level now - a higher level than Lin or Felton. I don't see what the problem is with him getting some of Lin's minutes.

Some poster in the rockets forum collected some stats on Beverley on meaningful minutes played. The numbers were not that good. His numbers looks better when you add the games he was in during garbage time. To give you an example, this the same kid that dunked on GSW when GSW was down 20+. He loves to pad those stats.

Yea and Jennings over the last 3 games has put up 19, 17, and 12 assists. Guys get the same looks every game. When guys make shots assists go up.

The clipper Zone has really slowed down Denver when the Clipps run it correctly. The second unit running it looks confused at times.
I wondered if teams would start zoning Denver and if Denver could break the zone with their cuts and lobs to Faried or McGee.

More Nuggets tidbits:
1) 33 assists. You will win a ton of games with 33 assists. 12 more assists than the Clips. This also proves that your PG can have as many assists he likes, but if he comprises of almost all the team assists, the team won't win many games. Lawson had 11 assists, Iggy had 7, Gallo 6, Wilson 5.
2) Great shooting night for everyone. Again, if everyone is on point, this team can probably beat anyone.
3) Only 11 turnovers. Another good sign.
4) Strong 3rd quarter.
With our obvious need of another G play, Malik Waynes was just signed to Clippers for a 10 day contract and Jannero Pargo is still on waivers, while his brother, Jeremy Pargo is replacing Waynes in Philly
I don't think Woodson is fond of playing/developing rookies like Waynes but Jannero Pargo would be a great pickup for Woodson's style of play

I suggested Shelvin Mack that ATL just signed who was tearing up the D-League. Another option they should have done was Aaron Brooks which Houston just signed. Grunny sleeping at the wheel?

this is the second straight game in which 4 or more players had 4+ assists I think.. kind of crazy, and then look at the shooting percentages, just good up and down that lineup during the game...
