they don't really have a halfcourt game. they don't have isolation players for one thing. but then again they don't appear to need a halfcourt offense. i really don't think this is an issue for this team. they never get tired because of their depth and as a result it seems like the majority of their points come in transition and semi-transition.
you know who else doesn't have a halfcourt offense and who gets a majority of their buckets pushing the ball? that's right: the heat.

The Heat also have the best player in the game who has the ability to create shots for the outside shooters in the halfcourt. They can mix it up offensively better than the Nuggets can.
I actually think the Nuggets aren't a mirage, I believe their depth and young legs and coaching is to their advantage. On a personal level, I root for them b/c I still love Gallo and am super impressed by Faried. I even like McGee and dig his athleticism and wingspan. My biggest concerns are the lack of a superstar and experience. The superstar issue is less about having a go-to guy down the stretch (I think Lawson or Gallo can be that for them), it's based on the way refs call the games in the playoffs. That's why I actually believe Houston has a better chance than some might think b/c of Harden's sick ass ability to get to the line. That could be a game changer.

Its all on expectations. I doubt the thought they'd be this good this year adn this latest streak really propelled them into a discussion many thought they would not be in.
Same for Houston.
So at the end of the day, or the season anything more than a first round exit is a nice improvement for a franchise in transition.

Not sure I believe in the Clips anymore. If the playoff picture holds up in the West, I hope Golden State takes them down. They have beaten them three times this year so it's entirely possible.

then why didn't we beat boston last year? this league basically has two or three superstars.. they reside in miami, okc and los angeles, and we can see how well the lakers are doing with their superstar... Denver already has pretty much handled both okc and Houston this year... Until you have to face lebron, I really don't think denver is worried about any one player on any one team... Kurt rambis can call them what he wants, their record and play speaks otherwise..

yea, I find it funny dk, but you know why folks are trying to crap on denver.. it is so evident...I would gladly switch teams right now and put denver in the east, i would punch that ticket to the ECF with confidence...
Denver also scores on makes as well, I literally seen a team score a basket and denver makes one pass to faried for a dunk before the defense is cross half court... you can't defend that, and lately they have proven that they can win the ugly, slow down games....
