JVG defended Melo this morning at least in regards to Tyson's comments. He also pointed out that when Felton, JR, Kidd etc. aren't scoring where are the points supposed to come from? Durant gets David Robinson type love. Not sure why.

he doesn't make others around him better. durant does, and he is more consistently efficient as a scorer. wade is similar when he is on.
So when they fail like our inefficient scorer, we should feel sympathy??? And if he makes so many players better, he doesn't need sympathy, they should be winning...

Durant is playing good basketball, I don't think they are giving him a pass especially when he doesn't need one..

i don't know if anyone is expressing outright sympathy or making excuses.
but i understand when you're outraged at how he is getting a pass. the key is greenberg saying "he is doing enough." what does that mean? it means he is capable of doing it all and, doing it all, he will not be able to defeat the grizzlies who are healthy and, by the way, better without gay.
it must outrage you that durant is actually a more valuable player and a better player and is doing things melo has proven time and again is incapable of doing.
melo is not doing enough right now, not even at the one thing he is being paid max money to do. maybe that changes tomorrow night but when has melo ever made others better like durant is doing?
history is not on our side with melo and woodson's playoff futility. just sayin'
