Playa2 I thought you were reaching with your comments but Miami looking like they running plays in practice.

Home teams hate to get a team coming into their house playing 48 minutes, so much pressure on them to win.
yellowboy90 @ 5/26/2013 10:49 PM
just wait George is just buying his time.
AnubisADL @ 5/26/2013 11:04 PM
Heat got in the Pacers' ass.

Vogel putting up the white flag.

3G4G @ 5/26/2013 11:13 PM
The Heat played Defending Champion type ball tonight...their best game I'd say in a long time from all their players. Just big time play from everyone.

I think they played like they had 1 leg up on he Heat and took the 1-1 split for granted. I think they played okay but were terrible defensively in the first half. I think they'll bounce back Game 2 and play desperate. That's the thing I don't understand about most teams, why not play desperate every game. I would always play like I could lose but absolutely do not want to.

How did you think Paul George played?

Many of those who tried to kill my theory will claim they aren't posting today because it's a holiday.

Pacers will continue to play timid at home, when Miami brings it. They aren't the SanAntonio Spurs with a core of 30 yr olds rallying the troops.

No one cares enough about your theory to change their posting style.
You've set up at best a vague theory that incorporates almost any piece of data. So it is not surprising you were "right."
If we interpret your theory literally, than it was probably falsified last night. You said the Pacers would play tight in the fourth quarter at home but they played pretty evenly with the Heat in the fourth quarter.
Bonn1997 @ 5/27/2013 10:40 AM
I haven't followed SA very closely. Why does Splitter not get starter's minutes? He's very good. Is there a health issue?

How did you think Paul George played?

I think he got overwhelmed in the post...by Lebron. Showed some life in the second half but if Lebron continues to go in the post George will have problems. We all know Lebron has physical advantages most players in this league do not have. He wisely used them yesterday. George played a good first half from a ball distribution aspect(besides those 2 turnover late first half) but needed to play more assertive on the offensive end to make Lebron work.

Playoffs are a game of adjustment...Spo made really good game 3 adjustments.

Yeah his theory changes from game to game depending the results and then probability....what a parody show.

seems like lebron developed a left-handed bank shot and a teardrop shot in preparation for this series. just an amazing basketball player. one of a kind.

No my theory never changed, but you did in your approach to try and attack the point I made.

Home teams play timid at home when the opposing team brings it for 48 min , visiting team plays loose, so if the game is close , especially at the end home team gets nervous .

I have to disagree with your theory..I think Miami was under more pressure in game 3 because they lost home court advantage...They had to win game three or be down 2-1 with another game to play in Indy...JVG was also asked about the pressure in an interview this morning on Mike and MIke..He said the noise and home court doesn't bother a vet team until the last few mins of a close game..he also thought the pressure was on Miami...

Well I disagree with you and Jeff Vandummy, the pressure is on the home team to win games AT HOME in front of their fans. When the opposing team is playing hard , your fans want you to match their intensity , that in itself puts more pressure on you to perform.

There is no pressure on the visiting team, no family and friends to deal with before the game. You are loose and ready to take names the us against the world mentality is enough to bring it for 48 minutes.

Papabear Says

Lebron turned Paul George into Boy George.

Switch Wade for Hansbrough and whoever-the-fuck-wade-deliberately-elbowed-in-the-head for LeBron, and I think you have at least a two game suspension.

Well Lebron would have held his head and rolled on the floor until the refs made the call
