Heat played as they have most of the season. "Lightning blitz death blow" and your toast.
few calls were awful but Heat hit their shots.
Game was close but turnovers kept the spurs from building a lead.
Then Lebron took off his cape.
It was impressive.
Heat completely outplayed the Spurs here, question is whether they can sustain it. They won't hit all those shots every game. Lebron is still incredible but he had others step up today - Ray Allen, Bosh etc. Duncan missed some of his signature of the glass shots. But in Q4 it didn't matter. Spurs needed to slow down the freight train instead it just kept gaining momentum.

Key is the the visiting has to bring it for 48 minutes.
I can't find the words to describe some of the things you post playa, honestly I can't, and I consider myself a smart guy.. but you have me at a loss for words...
+1.
He's set up an unfalsifiable theory because he can always say either "the home team lost because they were tight and the road team brought it for 48 min" or "the home team won because the road team didn't bring it for 48 min."
Its quite genius with no apparent monetary or other measurable gain other than "Told you so"!
kind of like flipping a coin and saying " heads I win, tails you lose"
haha
then the coin will fall on its edge, the whole theory of Playa will be disproved ... and the world will fall apart ... lol

Man, people make a big deal about Paul George, but Kawhi Leonard is a player to watch. Only 21, dude is going to be a complete stud. May have even out played George these playoffs.
Imagine if Indy would had kept Leonard ... I would've ranked them above Miami
How bout that Gary Neal. Fight the power. Beat the Heat.
The Heat are being handled. Danny Green having a great game.

Logically it probably wouldn't have worked because they Danny Granger/Paul George already there. They needed a point guard and they got George Hill. You can't play Granger/George/Leonard high rotation minutes...wouldn't worked as you wouldn't be maximizing your assets.
I think proves more so is the Spurs always have competent people in their organization to make those kind of decisions that leads to those moves being made.
If any organization should copied it's them and it's been this way for over decade. They are the model organization above all others.

Spurs have laid the foundation that takes a vision and patience. They rebuilt how many times to keep Duncan supported? Kwai Leonard was not an overnite sensation and they gave up Hill who had beaten Parker and was gettng his minutes. They cut Danny Green twice. Spitter was drafted and they waited, then developed him further. Etc, etc. While the knicks got to finals with Ewing and were competitive they were "rushed" to get him help. This is in part ewings "fault" but its a reasonable desire to want to win. Duncan flirted with joining orlando but in the long run the money was there and the mutual trust grew that TOGETHER they could keep winning!
Ewing wanted his stats, his money and im sure wanted to win. I think its the norm and what Duncan has done is quite rare and exceptional. Im not blasting ewing but the parallels are similar yet how one organization built it.
Very rare indeed in this era!
Beat the Heat! Beat the Heat!
What would be the Big 3's legacy be if they didn't win it this year? 1 in 3 tries, doesn't look good for their not 2 , not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7 rings prediction.
Imagine how much the Spurs would have won by if the home-court disadvantage hadn't been in effect.

Yea take away Robinson and Duncan and they would have been like everyone else. The character those two put on display made everybody else fall in line. No Duncan or Robinson and the culture wouldn't have changed in San Antonio. Coach Pop would not have lasted without those guys setting the tone to buy in.

Pop was an assistant under Larry Brown. Larry started this run!
Pop took it to another level.
Credit Peter Holt the owner for keeping it going.
Credit Duncan AND Pop TOGETHER.
Credit Phil Jax and Jordan. Credit Phil Jax and Kobe.
Jordan wins only with Jax. Kobe got his 5 with Jax.
Duncan WITH Pop.
Maybe Pop gets it down with others? Don't know.
Its done with a core and role players who step up. All great teams have that in common. We only look at highlights of Jordan and thnk every game he had was great. It was not always.
Circle around to Mooby, its why the star system does not always work. Last nite if not for Mike MIller Heat lose by 50!
Credit Spurs, not Heat failure last nite.
Spurs need to still win two more. It ain't over yet.

Hows that "pressure to win at home" thing working out?
Its just not relevant.

Actually Pop, RC Buford and Larry Brown were all shyt-canned by the old owner and Pop became an assistant under Don Nelson in Golden State in 1992. He then returned to be GM/VP of Operations for the Spurs under the current owner.
His first move, bringing Avery Johnson from GS to be point guard of the Spurs.
Bob Hill was the coach of the Spurs at the time, started 3-15, Pop axed his ass and took over, tanked the rest of the season, got the #1 pick in the draft.
The rest is history. Definitely alot of luck involved with the strategic tanking, but definitely alot of credit to Pop/Buford/Duncan for making it happen too.
