Wow I didn't realize that. I only watched the third and fourth quarter

I saw him on the bench - he looked ready. IDK - why they are not playing him.
Nalod @ 6/17/2013 7:07 AM
I can't find anything on his absence!

Was it weird seeing the Spurs run so much Iso last night?

Not at all. Just shows that Pop knows what he is doing. When the Spurs run the PNR, the Heat are trapping the ball handler and pushing them either to the sidelines or way out high past the 3 point line. This was taking Parker out of the game and making him passive. Also led to many turnovers. Pop went Iso which nulified most of the Heats traps. Ontop of that, Manu had a size advantage over Cole/Chalmers and Parker has a quickness advantage over who ever is guarding him. Mind as well let Parker go to work one-on-one as opposed to running into traps off the PNR.....Good couter attack by Pop vs. the Heats traps. Now the ball is in Spo's court..

Why would it be weird?

IDK, that is why I asked the question. I just like how the Spurs offense can morph into anything it needs to be. Kind of like NE Patriots how their offense can go from spread to power.

even thoughn im a diehard knciks fan i kind of envy the Spurs organization. I mean they have been a top team for like 15 straight years which is crazy when you think about it, they ahve a bunch of titles, they have a great coach that players always buy into, and even thouhg they are getting older their star players always step up in bi spots

I'm used to him being unstoppable, unguardable in the open court but we haven't seen that in this series.

Being a mental midget doesn't mean you aren't great it means you sometimes fall short mentally.

That's who he is in all his greatness.

Ask Mike Woodson (see Camby) Maybe he plays him in Miami out of desperation or maybe he got high and Spoelstra won't play him

HOw would you classify Melo's playoff runs and subsequent falling short?

loweyecue @ 6/18/2013 10:02 AM
I'll give Spoestra some credit here - so far the Heat has come back twice with adjustments of their own.
Nalod @ 6/18/2013 10:31 AM

Spurs are not doing anything that was not expected. Last season they were the favorite to beat miami in the finals IF THEY GOT TO THE FINALS!!

They could not beat OKC to get there.

This year they benefited from Harden traded and Westbrook's injury so they did not even have to face them.

Lebron and the Hype machine gives us the expectation that its "Lebron vs. the Spurs". Whem Miami lost to the Mavs, it was "Lebron lost". Last year it was "Lebron won".

We did this because Jordan never lost in the finals. Lebron is not Jordan. Lebron is the best player of this generation but alone does not win championships. The decison failed.

The spurs are winning but its clear and not a given that they can close this thing out. Miami is still very dangerous and can win twice to claim their third championship in the Riley era.

Spurs are not given the credit they deserve!

Contemplating whether to watch tonight's game or go to movies. Just heard Joey Craford might be refing.

Clipz walked away from Celtic deal for Garnett and Rights to sign Doc. Good for them, Ainge asking too much for a guy a year maybe two from retirement and makes a big salary. I get the trade but Ainge just trying to hard. Now he has a problem of losing Rivers to the TV booth and Garnett can retire anytime he wants.

of course they get Rondo back, can buy out Pierce and install Josh smith in place. Not our problem.

Clipz might be enticed with offering Blake and Bledsoe for Dwight. Lakers might want to think about that.

Does he honestly think everyone is McHale and do him favor.

Melo needs someone along side of him like a WADE, who can handle the ball, Melo isn't a mental midget like Lebron is.
