What exactly do you think people "make him out to be" ?

He is young with upside and played great as a knick

You are saying people make him out to be Chris Paul Rondo and Irving?

Nalod @ 11/7/2013 7:16 AM
One of the reasons Karl was canned was he did not develope McGee enough. Its about potential and if you have to lose some games to get to a higher ceiling so be it. Its a foreign concept to us. He is not a finished product. When he is then we can judge the signing. Big men with potential and coming off injury get big money.

If you judge Lin solely for his contract then its different than him as a player.

People freak out here when Lin has 1 year of ridiculous pay. We regularly have 3 to 4 guys on our roster with 2 to 4 years of ridiculous pay left.

Bit of an exaggeration on the 2-4 years, but i agree. If you are going to go in for a chip, there is no reason to fret about the $s. I think it was dolan being pissed off plain and simple

We all know Lin got overpaid, but thats what it took for him to get taken. Thats the new CBA and it worked. Rockets did not know they could get Harden at the time or Dwight. I don't blame the knicks for taking on his salary given this is who we are.

The kid is still young and will find his place in the NBA. Dolan took it personal which is stupid. Linsanity was awesome and given rockets situation at that time he would have sold a lot of tickets which made his value super high at that moment.

THe knicks are more reactionary and make decisions based on short term results.

Denver is rebooting the reboot. I get it. YOu can sell it to fans.

Knicks have highest ticket prices in NBA and boo because we are not privy to the direction of the team. DOlan proclaims championship aspirations but the reality is we are not even close.

Whats wrong with developing young assets and leave cap space for a player that wants to come to a young team that needs one more piece to take it to the top?

IF we are the "Mecca" its not about booing the product on a bad night, its booing the starphuch patina that is sold.

Thus, we are not the "Mecca" and have not been since college ruled in the 50's and the Mecca left in 1974 when the legacy team started to retire. When Paramount owned the company and ran it as an entertainment company as it is today. Its profitable business, but there are no parades when you run it this way.

Denver will be on the outside looking in come playoff time. Denver will never attract the free agent talent needed to win it all.

They were in a good place last year, I don't get how they ruined it so quickly!

ruined? lol, nothing is ruined... the west got tougher, they are not healthy... they will be fine... I don't get knicks fans, I guess misery loves company.. the problem is, denver is not close to being in our situation...

BTW nuggets started 0-3 last year too..

They are far from right. They fired their coach and lost their gm. They lost their best player for nothing in free agency. They traded this years first round pick to Utah for their second round pick. They traded their best big man to Memphis for Darrell Arthur. They changed their style of play and in turn gave up the tremendous home court advantage that they had because of altitude and their speed They hired a new coach and told him to focus on McGee being a post up player and the center of their offense. They won 58 last year. They are a mess now.

Iggy wasn't their best player

They traded this years first round pick to Utah for their second round pick.

LOL. no they didn't...

Yeah they did.

Wojnarowski has reported via twitter that the Denver Nuggets will trade the rights to Rudy Gobert to the Utah Jazz.

Gobert has ideal NBA height (7’2) but will need to add some weight to make an impact in the NBA. The international prospect has an unprecedented wingspan of 7’8. We’ll find out if he can fill out his frame and become a serviceable big man in the league.

The Nuggets will receive the No. 46 pick in the second round and cash from the Jazz.

MDA and his Lakers are 3-3 so far without Kobe, beating the Rockets tonight. They aren't a good team but they play hard for him. I know it felt good for them to stick it to Howard. They put him on the line and then beat him with the Blake 3 on a play after a time out.
Syniko @ 11/8/2013 12:57 AM
Rockets have a nice line up on paper but Harden iso is going to ruin the Rockets. D.Howard thinks he's having it bad with Kobe, who by the way is far, far, FAR by far more elite than Harden will ever be, is going to have a terrible time adjusting with Harden.

Howard is putting up the same kind of performance he gave when he was with the Lakers. Nothing about him has changed at all. Expect the same song and dance by the time the season is over and Howard is whining again.

Howard is never going to excel or exceed his own expectation if he doesn't end up on a team with a sub-par SG who doesn't need to jack up shots or play ISO during weird moments in the game. A Lin/Howard PNR ticket would work wonders albeit at time boring to watch ala Stockton/Malone.

skeng @ 11/8/2013 2:36 AM
Lin told off Dwight after the game for missing that rotation out to Blake. Lin looked pissed.
Syniko @ 11/8/2013 2:46 AM

It looks to me like players were just questioning each other what went wrong at the end of the game. Blake's three pointer was second to the last and final possesion and no team should have to revert back to that after screwing their last chance to score. It's cheap.

Beverley was supposed to inbound the ball to someone but somehow ended up with the ball back in his hand and he took the last shot. Had he made it, he'd been the hero of the game. Complaining about a play previous to that is just cheap for both fans and players.

Lakers look good from what I can tell from the extended highlights, they're all buying in and playing hoops,

Nice play at the end of the game for Blake to drop the long ball!

McHale is being out coached by almost every team they play.

If he is not starting Lin he is being out coached.

Nalod @ 11/8/2013 8:15 AM
somewhere there has to be a "Good game coached by MDA" in all this?

Rockets lose its always: "Lin is not.......", or "Mchale don't like".......But never about the other team.

yellowboy90 @ 11/8/2013 8:17 AM
I have to give LA credit. I never thought they had a chance to win even with the lead as I was watching the game. I feel asleep on it though the refs took me out of the game with all the fouls they called for Harden.

GOOD coaching job by dantoni..

Dwight has to hit ft's and on that last play, it was his job to switch on blake.. you see lin after the game talking with dwight, telling him, pretty much, dude you gotta switch, it doesn't matter if I have to guard a taller gasol.. I mean Dwights gotta think, a two point shot doesn't beat you.. a three does..

houston still a very good team tho..
