They were in a good place last year, I don't get how they ruined it so quickly!
ruined? lol, nothing is ruined... the west got tougher, they are not healthy... they will be fine... I don't get knicks fans, I guess misery loves company.. the problem is, denver is not close to being in our situation...
BTW nuggets started 0-3 last year too..
They are far from right. They fired their coach and lost their gm. They lost their best player for nothing in free agency. They traded this years first round pick to Utah for their second round pick. They traded their best big man to Memphis for Darrell Arthur. They changed their style of play and in turn gave up the tremendous home court advantage that they had because of altitude and their speed They hired a new coach and told him to focus on McGee being a post up player and the center of their offense. They won 58 last year. They are a mess now.
Iggy wasn't their best player
They traded this years first round pick to Utah for their second round pick.
LOL. no they didn't...
Yeah they did.
Wojnarowski has reported via twitter that the Denver Nuggets will trade the rights to Rudy Gobert to the Utah Jazz.
Gobert has ideal NBA height (7’2) but will need to add some weight to make an impact in the NBA. The international prospect has an unprecedented wingspan of 7’8. We’ll find out if he can fill out his frame and become a serviceable big man in the league.
The Nuggets will receive the No. 46 pick in the second round and cash from the Jazz.
I thought you were talking about THIS upcoming draft. Dude understand, denver has a plan...you really think this trade here is sinking them? rofl.. Denver is sitting back waiting for the knicks to miss the playoffs and if that happens, they are in Great position again..
They weren't contenders, they are rebuilding, staying competitive, stacking assets.. they are in great shape.. really what is your angle here? saying they suck, does that make the knick situation better? right now they have the same record as us.. and that is where it ends.. they will be healthy soon, and as I said, even if they went 0-82 they are still in great shape.. I know that bothers you, it shouldn't. what should bother you is our situation...
I am not bothered by the Nuggets situation but they had a lot of things happen that weren't positive. In regards to a plan, I guess I have never heard of a plan where you trade your first round pick for a second round pick in the same draft. If you are rebuilding wouldn't it make sense to rebuild with your first rounder or trade him for a first round pick in the future?

Better question.. care to name a NBA champ in the past 10 years, that hasn't had a "major" draft pick of their own in a starter role?
Another question, what major free agents did the mavs and Spurs have?
The "major" free agent thing has worked wonders for the knicks I see.... smh
I never stated that a team doesn't need great home grown players to win a title! But that is just a part of what it takes to win. A team needs to bring in major FAs and well as a great coaching staff. Spurs had Michael Finely in 07 who set the team record for threes against Denver in the playoffs.Dallas I will give you it seems like the core of the 2011 team was Dirk and players brought in by trades! All those trades worked. That's just pure luck so one team in the last 10 years. Going back even further the 03 Spurs team had Stephan Jackson and Bruce Bowen who were FA signings.
My point is Denver can't seem to attract the FA you need to win a title in my opinion.

Knicks got stat and Tyson. Stat flamed out because of injuries but both are big name guys that experienced a lot of success on their previous team.

Nets wiz in overtime.

Kidd doesn't talk in the huddle. Players are huddled around frank.

Just saw an article about shaw being upset with their effort. One plus, on paper Randolph appears to be playing well.

Very bizarre. They better win otherwise it will become a problem

Bennett back to scoring 0 baskets in a game!
Whats happened to Kyrie Irving this season?
smackeddog@ 11/9/2013 4:59 PM
I haven't had chance to watch the rockets yet, but I'm surprised to see Harden is getting a lot of flack for his play and attitude this season- is it justified or just a backlash?

As the spotlight stay on you the critics get to critique every little thing. His defense has been awful the last two years.

Nets trying to save money on their back up announcers?.?..
BigDaddyG@ 11/9/2013 8:11 PM
For a team that has a size advantage at every position, the Nets sure love to shoot a lot of long Js. As for Hibbert, it looks like Hibbert's increased effectiveness during last year's playoff was more of fluke. It doesn't look like he's made much of an improvement in his offensive game. That's something you can live with when he's averaging 5 blocks a game.
holfresh@ 11/9/2013 9:18 PM
Nets could be dangerous with the right coach...Not sure if Kidd is that guy...They aren't playing as a unit the way the played against Miami..Lots of one on one...They have all season tho..Pacers clicking on all cylinders...Guys here thought the Knicks should have beaten these guys??..
MX25@ 11/9/2013 9:57 PM
Nets will be dangerous when they get it together. Seem like they'll go on a mid season run and finish around 50 wins
BigDaddyG@ 11/9/2013 10:35 PM
Miles Plumlee looks like a find for the Nets. He's active and he finished well around the basket tonight. I wonder how long the Nets coaching staff is going to stay with the minutes cap on Pierce and KG if they continue to struggle. Pacers are on a roll. Imagine how tough they'd be if they had a natural playmaker at the point.

I won't root for the C's often (or hardly ever), but tonight...

Didn't watch this game, but was just shown what immediately preceded that buzzer beater.
Just...wow...

Wow! What a crazy finish to a game! (first video was private, but people can watch it on nba.com. Can't believe Wade messed up like that, and can't believe Green hit that shot!
Seems like a lot of the top teams are looking average about now (early days) seems like they all have a 4-3 record. It'll be interesting to see who puts it all together and who doesn't.
Watched the Rockets vs Clippers- Harden and Griffin are such annoying floppers I get annoyed watching their antics- it's really pathetic. Watched to see if Lin was being excluded by his team mates. There was one bit where he passed to Dwight, who scored then Dwight turned his back to him and acknowledged Parsons- didn't bother thanking lin for the pass.
