In dire need of backcourt production, the Washington Wizards have reached agreement to sign guard Shelvin Mack, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Mack has averaged nearly 21 points per game for the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Developmental League. He will join the reeling Wizards on Monday.
Washington drafted Mack in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft out of Butler University, but released him before the start of this season. Mack received a non-guaranteed contract.
The Wizards released veteran guard Shaun Livingston on Saturday night. Washington is 3-22, on a seven-game losing streak and still awaiting the season debut of star point guard John Wall.

He shoots way too much agreed...Takes some god awful shots...But that is easily remedied...He could watch film or Coach to tell him to calm to f down..I think the Miami game blew his mind and he went nuts in the first Chicago game...But I think we have bigger worries with Brewer, Novak, and Kidd to a lessor extent..

JR is a steal for this team. Woody just has to use him smartly. He plays very good defends and rebounds. He is playing well (now), I actually think that Woody can get to him - he is supremely talented just very dumb at times. Frustrates the hell out of me with some of his shots and needs to recognize when he is cold.
With Felton, I am not jumping out of the woodwork after some bad games. I have always had this view of him and as you know have voiced it many times.
To have our PG who can't shoot be 10th in the league in shot attempts is mind boggling!

I like conversing with you but lets try to keep it a bit more cordial and mature.
I have my (non agenda driven) opinion in regards to Felton. He has had a career of mediocrity and extreme inefficiency. He started off ok (which we have seen before) but he is what he is. A cheap (non heady) PG who plays decent defense and is a good team guy.
I don't believe that he is the kind of PG you can with with in the playoffs.
Again, I have played PG in organized ball for 30 years. I know what I would like to see from a PG. Its not him, or BD etc ...
I never really bought into Win Shares and Wins Produced because I don't have the time to read the 150 pages that explain them. However, seeing that Felton is at .064 which implies that he does not contribute too much to wins makes me believe in them more and more.
I don't need to "wake up". I watch every minute of every game and yell at the TV all game seeing all the open players that he is missing. There are other passes that are available to him that are not alley oops.
