I want to see a KNICKS vs ROCKETS NBA 2013 Finals matchup. It would be so damn fun to watch.

Lin

The all-knowing ones would tell you Lin couldn't do jack against the better defenses in the league. Tsk tsk...

Odom and Barnes have been playing great for them. They still have Chauncey coming back.

Lin

Lin really is the reason the rockets are kicking butt right now. Also, the fact the harden wants Lin to stay aggressive. McHale also figured out that you have to have either Lin or harden on the floor at all times. His rotation finally makes sense:

Talking with my brother in law today. He is a huge Nets/NBA fan and he said he thinks Howard will leave the Lakers after this season. At first he said he thought he would go to Dallas but then said Houston might be an option because of Harden. I never considered the possibility of that happening.

I don't want diva Howard with the Rockets.

I talked about that possibility as well, and I am not so sure about that one.. asik fits well with that team and he is on the books with a nice contract.. now I am sure you can move him and dwight is a TALENT upgrade, but they are developing some nice chemistry as is.. what I do expect them to do is upgrade the 4 spot with a stud PF.. either through the draft or Free agency..

I think dwight stays in LA LA land, the guy is so self absorbed I don't see him leaving that big market...

Lin finally closed the chapter with the knicks on his last game at the garden and looks ready to move on. Also, the surgery during the off season finally is not affecting his game from observation.

So depressing man. Dolan let his emotions ruin a truly great season

he did, but I also think it is deeper than that, listening to the words of JR smith and carmelo, I am not sure they were so ready to welcome him back either... but that is another discussion.. the knicks just botched this one up as an organization.. complete fail..

1-10 now. Clippers are really good.

he is struggling a bit, but I expect him to turn that around... karl needs to shake that lineup up a bit.. gallo is still that teams leading scorer and 3rd leading rebounder... they need better production from iggy and better guard play.. period...

The nuggets are set up nicely over the next few years.. they can make many moves as they have a lot of picks and moveable pieces... the clippers are probably the best team in the NBA right now...

lin and harden put so much pressure on the defense and what makes them dangerous is not only their ability to get to the rack, but they will find the open man.. they are a pain in the azz to have to guard when they are both clicking...

Yes. Flexibility.

Oh ... and The MOZ who is down to 5 minutes a game

TKF, I think even you can probably admit right now that Gallo has not lived up to expectations.

I said many times that I will not judge this trade for 3 years and I will stick to that but as of now? It turning into a runnaway.

what were expectations? he is in his 3rd healthy year he is leading denver in scoring... and i suspect by years end he will be around the 18ppg mark with 3 boards and 3-4 dimes.. those were my expectations and pretty damn good numbers....

I think knicks fans are dying for him to do bad.. but that won't save this trade for the knicks.. only a championship will..... I don't think you will have to wait 3 years... if we don't win a ring, it was a fail...

things will hit harder as we watch our picks go to denver.... and lord forbids if denver turns it around this year( they are not really bad considering such a tough schedule they had).. again, i caution.. we had this type of discussion earlier when people were ready to declare lin dead, the rockets bad and the signing a bust....

Saying that if we don't win a ring then the season is a fail (with all due respect) is a cop out and a way to insure that you will not be wrong.

You would need to assume that if they did not make this trade they would/could have won it all.

I thought the Knicks gave up too much in the trade and could have gotten it done for less.

W Chandler = bust (so far)
Mozgov = bust (so far)
Felton vs Billups (huge win for us)
A Randolph = bust (forever)
E curry = huge win for denver
Gallo = underwhelming though decent player

Picks? We shall see (hence the 3 year window)

Houston/Lin? I always said that was stupid.

It was one first round pick and second round picks. I don't think the Knicks miss that much.

i saw the first half before i fell asleep. there were a ton of strips of all the nuggets whenever they made it into the lane. gallinari wanted to take guys off the dribble, even waving his teammates off for a clearout against butler maybe-- never saw that before from gallo. clippers must have some pretty quick hands since no fouls were called at all on any of the strips.

that said, gallo seemed a little out of control to me. maybe he was instructed by karl to be more aggressive but it kind of backfired.

i too am not crazy about the iggy lawson backcourt so far this season.

Didn't one of you guys say that they wished that we could trade Melo straight up for Iggy?

i like iguodala but more as a slasher/distributor. i think coach collins used him properly and i am not sure karl has figured stuff out for him yet. seems like karl wants everyone to slash or find an open 3. problem is iguodala should not be taking 3s.

Yeah, but Asik gets a lot of credit too. I know he is benefiting from that backcourt setting him up but e is definitely making the most of it. He also seems to block shots now and then and is a good rebounder. The Rockets have three good youn players to build around. I am not sold on their SF yet - what'shisnehm?
