That's exactly what's going on right now, JR Swagnuts dropped a very smooth and subtle bomb on Dragic, could've ended his season,

A human being is a human being I don't care what team you play for, you don't undercut guys on layups

I am a big fan of Lin but your post is like the android/apple community never ending I am better than your dad :).

How so? I just posted stats. I suppose some think Lin should only be mentioned when he plays well? I am more than happy to give him credit when he plays well and point out his bad play also. The isssue for some of course, is that he has been mostly bad this year.

You answered my point, you never stop always pointing out things. Lin is gone, I am a knicks fan but seriously this is childish behavior as I pointed out the days of "my dad is better than yours". Enough said.

It goes both ways....After Lin had a good 5 game run, then we get the "Lin is a future star" thread...

Also Asik better than Chandler and one poster suggesting that if the Knicks don't win a championship this year it will be because they didn't match Houstons offer to Lin. Its hard not to react to some of this stuff. This is a Knick board.

who said that Asik is better than Chandler? Better rebounder (much) but nobody said better player.

After that first rockets game when Asik went YOLO on Chandler, I think people were calling for Tyson's head

I call for Chandlers head all the time and he has been AWFUL defensively however it would be silly to say that Asik is better than him (at this point).

In a short time he will surpass though if he keeps improving his game.

The thing is, you don't see the Lin fans run away when he has a bad game. We agree that he has a bad game. And like it was mentioned in this thread in the Minny game, he had bad stats but the offense ran smoothly with him and his defense was very good. He controlled the pace. The Minny announcers were mentioning that the way he controlled the pace was key. Lin kept pushing the ball gave his team easy buckets. They mentioned that the style of play Houston plays will always increase TO numbers, specially on the PG since he handles the ball so much. Houston does not mind these TOs, they want a high fast pace. Also, a lot of his TOs were trying to make that pass to a streaking teammate.

Lin also has a whopping 1 assist last night, but if you watched the game, you know that Asik, Greg Smith, Parsons, Delfino and even Harden missed some wide open shots that would have been assists from Lin. The only weakness I want Lin to get better is his 3 PT FG%. His shot from 3 is way off. I think he has too much arc on his shot.

NYKBocker @ 12/27/2012 3:24 PM
Also, the 7 TOs called on Lin...4 of them were of the offensive foul variety. Another one was a jump ball called on Lin. Here is what it looked like..

AnubisADL @ 12/27/2012 3:30 PM
Lin put up a whopping 8 points. He wanted to allow Harden to score 30 so Harden has a chance to make the allstar team.

Lin is such a class act.The ultimate team player.

The Lin fans might not run away, but the excuses made for his bad games are tough to take. Just reread your own posts. He has a horrible game but the offense ran smoothly? They shot 40% from the field, scored only 87 pts and Lin had half of the team turnovers. Thats what you call smooth? They won because Harden took over the last 2 mins of the game. 7 To's are bad no matter how you try to slice/excuse it. Why cant the Lin fans just say he had a horrible game and move on. Felton rarely gets the benefit of the doubt when he has a bad game. Not mention that he is playing hurt, etc....

I actually like Lin and wanted him back. He's no longer a Knick so I've moved on and could care less about him at this point. But the constant mentioning of him on this board the "future star" threads and the constant jabs at Felton whenever he misses a shot by the Lin crowd has become a bit nauseating and tough to take.

Lin was awful lastnight. Still doesn't change the fact by the end of the year we'll all agree that not keeping Lin and going with Felton was a mistake

Perhaps, but its hard to say its a mistake when we are playing .724 ball with Felton at the point. At the end of the day, it's irrelevant and wasted energy because he aint coming back. I'm enjoying the current product and we are amongst the elite in the league right now without Lin. Did I want Lin back? Yes. But there's nothing we can do about that now. Just like there was nothing I could do about the Strickland/Cheeks trade. I'm just now getting over that trade

Nalod @ 12/27/2012 4:40 PM
So good games annoy lin haters, bad games annoy lin lovers.

Its the year of "the duck".

It happens. 21-8 makes "the duck" look good.

I don't hate Lin, just don't understand why he's put on a pedestal. It's not like he won us a division, a chip, a rookie of the year, a MIP, an all star appearance, a playoff game or series...just totally baffles me.

I miss Nate Robinson more than I miss Jeremy Lin. At least he actually accomplished something in a Knicks uniform by winning 3 dunk contests.

Lin Christ was in a Knick uni for only a prolonged White Castle cheeseburger fart, and yet dudes are still crying over him like we let Steve Nash in his prime get away.

Pathetic.

gunsnewing @ 12/27/2012 4:57 PM
Jrue Holiday and Steve Nash didn't win any of those awards either. There is a such thing as developing younger players instead of letting them walk for nothing and replace them with low IQ, average older veterans

Winning Dunk Contest determines how valuable you are to a team? Don't be a clown. Harold Miner won a dunk contest and he sat at the deep end of the bench and retired early.

Do you truly believe Lin will win any awards or get voted to any all star appearances (legitimately, not from the overseas vote)?

Lin will be a very nice player, I don't disagree. Felton can't hit the broadside of a barn, but at the same time, he won't have 7 turnover games for a "Win now" team that plays slow it down, grind it out, low turnover, efficient basketball.

We only have a 2 or 3 year window, we can't afford his growing pains, and his inability to hit the 3 ball off the swing pass.

True. He Harvard, he ain't stupid. He made the right choice for himself financially and will probably get voted to a couple of All Stars, because of his decision.

I wonder if Lin will turn down the All Star if he somehow beats out Chris Paul. Knowing how humble Lin is, he probably would turn it down unless somebody forces him to play (cough*STERN*cough)

Lin knows his limits. Why would he play in a game with Elite Players and make himself look like a fool out there? You know the other players are going to make him look silly just out of spite.
