McHale should have just left Lin alone and let him weathered the storm out there instead of taking him out of the game after two or three bad sequences. How he is supposed to improve against an elite team (Which Lin has already proven that he can) if the stupid coach constantly punishes him for it. Defensively, Lin was pretty much on point. Offensively , he was moving the ball well.
It was because of Lin's bad shot making that McHale wasn't too fond of. Who cares. Tell Lin to just continue to pace the floor and make plays. What a dumb coach.
Yup. McHale puts a premium in shooting. He did not notice that in the first half, Lin kept the pace and had around 5 assists already. He is a dumb coach.

I think McHale is building a case against Lin. He wants to to present all the proof in the world that TD should start. I have never seen a coach behave the way McHale is behaving.
How is it that a starter have 2 or 3 bad possessions and suddenly he's benched for half the entire game????? Sure Toney Douglas had a decent game scoring wise. The guy played more minute while Lin sat out and watch OKC stomped his team.
TD's 3 assists vs Lin's 7 assists and 5 of those 7 assists came during the first quarter. TD played 33 minutes and Lin played only 24 minute. WTF???? Had Lin played 33 minute, he would have gotten 10 or 11 assists.
That seems a bit paranoid. McHale is playing Lin 33 mpg. Douglas was playing well on both ends of the court. Didn't Lin come out because he took a bad hit in the head also?

Yeap, plus the game was virtually over.
Besides these folks didn't watch the game, Lin picked up his second foul early in the 2nd.

I think he was talking about the 1st qtr. McHale took Lin out early cause he was missing his 3s, but Lin had 5 assists and th pace was good. Lin also played really good defense.

yea, I agree, I think mchale wanted to go with a hot hand, I have seen him bench asik for long periods as well.... also mchale has these set substitutions, I have seen lin on fire and he still takes him out.. I do think he (mchale) needs to be a bit more flexible...

Did you ever say that about Danphoney while in NY ? HMMMM
When Lin shoot a three, it's almost equal to a turnover.

That is true. I don't know what happened to his 3 pt shot.

He never had one.
Would hate to be an atlanta fan. Team is doing well in a severely depleted East. Lots of injuries this year. The Hawks need a high lottery pick.

Exactly Altanta does this every year than fizzle in the playoffs
Every year does not really count going forward does it?
Coaches and players change.

It does on the Knicks board
Atlanta is not good enough to compete nor bad enough to tank. This is no different than Milwaukee. Sucks to be them.

True but at least they can attract a FA better than Milwaukee.

When was the last one they attracted? Joe? And that was S&T.
Paul George continues his evolution and the Pacers have been playing well. Making Granger look like he knew what he was talking about before the season started.
Miami struggles to win in OT against Orlando. Down 2 with 17 secs Reddick throws a bad pass to Hedo that was intercepted by Wade to close out the game basically. If Hedo would have came to the ball it may have created a foul but he didn't so they lose.
Harden is continuing to be the worst shooting "efficient scorer". It really is amazing how he gets to the line. Also, Houston should peteition to be in the Eastern Conference.
