i wouldnt say memphis is better. They ahd a lot of breaks while the knicks had no breaks. Im not knocking memphis they are real good but lets face it we had to play a big game last night while they were fresher
I get why Woody put Melo on Gasol...It's the second night of a back to back...We needed Melo offensively so Gasol was the easier cover...

They executed when it mattered...

It won't work in the playoffs. Then again Aamr'e wouldn't be capable of guarding Gasol either. Kind of a no win situation but you gotta get Melo off bigs come winning time just asking for foul trouble situations to develop and dorking up rotations.

Melo is a 4 on a lot of nights but Zach is a beast. Gay is as big as melo. Knicks needed more Kurt and some camby.
Tyson's play is very alarming

Everyone beat up on Melo nightly...Not just tonight..

look the knicks werent gonna go 82-0. also sometimes even bad teams beat good teams once in a while that doesnt mean they are better. sometimes things go your way especially with a lot of help from refs
Camby has looked sluggish to me. I'm not sure he's all the way ready or else Woody plays him. This is the kind of game where if we have STAT and Shump it makes us that much more difficult to deal with offensively. You can't take away everything!!! Not if you have another guard that can create his own shot and another big that can force doubles and go hard to the hoop. Gotta hope STAT and Shump come back healthy, cuz I think that puts this team over the top in the East.
Memphis is a good team that's been playing together a while...They are good..

nobody disputes that. Playing the spurs/memphis back to back is tough for any team

tyson has zero offense. he needed to work with hakeem. sucks.

Wait, how?

Zebo has more moves..Melo would have to expend more energy on defense..

I disagree. 18-6 and 6-0 was with melo at the 4 most of the time and generally the best player on the floor. Memphis has size. Gay is a big 3 and Randolph is a house.

It's the NBA, every team has to do that..no excuses...

Right, he is the best player taking the most shots when he isn't playing with 4 guys not up to par...This year it's more of a team game..
holfresh wrote:Prigs and Novak has to pick it up...Prigs has to make more impact running the team..
Prigs won't be effective until Cope plays. Notice once he started playing with KT and SHeed his play has gone down. Prig needs a good roll person. KT and SHeed are to slow to be that. This is where Amare off the bench can be a double plus.

Big baby was abusing Melo...Big Baby..

dude its one loss we were the last unbeaten team. i mean good for memphis but i still think we are better

But guarding Gasol couldnt have been an easier cover cause he just hooked it over Melo or found an open guy when doubled. Putting Melo on Gasol also put Tyson on Zbo which just didnt work out well for us. Melo guarding Gasol kind of threw our defense off.
